Players vote Welker most underrated

The most unstoppable slot receiver I've ever seen. Undrafted too. I find it very funny that white receivers are allowed to play in the slot, even though the closest positions to slot receiver are cornerback and runningback. Kindof a big flaw in the logic of the cultural marxists.

It's also hillarious that people assume blacks have better coordination/ hands/ hand eye coordination/ and strength even though we dominate nascar, world's strongest man, shot put, shooting, javelin, and quarterback.

now that's a great news. Welker is incredible, i am only worried about the heavy toll the way he plays is taking on his body. he is still relatively young, but he gets hit almost as much as a runningback, and a lot of it comes from linebackers and safeties over the middle.

That's the thing- if most black players were racist against whites, Welker would have little shot at winning most underrated player. There is a smaller number of blacks that don't like playing with whites, but I think it's mostly the idiot DWFs and the blatantly biased media and coaches that messes it up for whites. BTW, the fans snubbed Welker in Pro Bowl voting, but the players and media got him enough votes to get him in to the Pro Bowl.

The two positions that a black player would be likely to play the race card- if a white was starting- are RB and CB. The black players probably think it's an insult to back up whites at those positions because of the untrue stereotypes. However, this is usually probably more about about greed for playing time, which brings salary increases and glamour, than actual disdain for the white player.

In my experience playing basketball against a lot of black guys, I think blacks have no problem acknowledging a good white athlete, yet they treat it as an intriguing exception to the rule like most people. I'm sure the comment "Welker must have some black in him" has been uttered dozens, if not hundreds of times, by NFL players.

I can confirm what Fightingtown and Tough J are saying is true. I played basketball and football in a city HS, with almost all black players and was a walk on at a Div 1 school in basketball. If you prove you can play, you certainly will be accepted. In fact, my team mates enjoyed the fact that I could outplay a black CB or blow by a black guard in basketball.

Not so. Welker "won" with just 7% of the vote, which was widely dispersed among a number of players. There's no way of knowing how blacks and whites voted.

I get SI and they have a poll every week. The ones concerning basketball and football players are mostly dominated by blacks in the positive categories and by whites in the negative ones. Look at the Pro Bowl voting, the team voting on captains, most valuable players, etc., and the evidence that exists is very strongly in favor of blacks going out of their way to vote for blacks no matter how deserving or not.

Not surprising he only received 7% of the vote. I am positive most of those votes came from white players. I'd be willing to bet anything on it.

You're probably right. He received 6.9% of the 246 votes cast which calculates to only 17 players. Let's suppose whites represented only 1/4 of those polled. That's about 61 white votes. He'd only need to carry slightly more than 1 of 4 of them to arrive at 17. It's quite possible he didn't receive a single black vote. Wouldn't be difficult at all.

Blacks almost always vote for other blacks. It's just the way it works. I can't remember off hand right now but I think it was Eli Manning and Kevin Curtis that won most overrated a few years ago. Guess who voted that way?

I think that was a poll taken of NFL players by The Sporting News. The overwhelmingly black NFL voted Peyton Manning and Brian Urlacher numbers 1 and 2 on the list if I remember correctly. Probably a thread about it here somewhere.

"Affletes" do vote for/support each other. BTW, Manning & Urlacher have consistently been the best Offensive & Defensive players in the NFL. Only DWFs or jealous "affletes" would say they are overrated.

Arguably some of the greatest of all time, at least Manning anyway. In my view, he is at least top 5 all-time for QB's. Urlacher has been very good, and definitely one of the most athletic, but I think there are two Bear Linebackers who were better overall players than him. Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary. IMO Wes Welker is probably the most underrated person in all of pro sports, not just the NFL. I would rather have him over any other Wide Receiver in the entire league.

Bear Backer, IMO Butkus and powerhouse Bronko Nagurski were the greatest Bears of all time.

Calling Manning overrated is pure jealousy and/or racism. That's like saying the Pope is an overrated Catholic. Manning is the quarterback of the NFL.

Rating Manning as one ofthe most overrated players in the NFL, especially a couple of years ago, before the Colts won the SB could have been prompted, in part, by the backlash against the enormous publicity and exposure that he was getting at the time, when his team was failing to get over the hump in the playoffs. Since the Colts SB win, you don't hear that sort of thing any longer, and no one, other than other utter moron, would argue that Manning is not one of the best ever.

The complaints about Uhrlacher are more common. I heard an interview earlier this season with a NFL personnel director - sorry, can't remember his name - and he volunteered that he thought Uhrlacher was the most overrated player in the NFL. I haven't seen enough Bear games in recent years to comment on the accuracy of this.

True, I guess we'd have to see the breakdown of how the players voted. I thought there were only a few nominees to cast a vote for (7% for the entire league isn't much). I do hear black analysts give high compliments to white players sometimes, but I did post a ridiculous comment before the Patriots-Giants Superbowl from Yahoo "analyst" Chris Carter. He said something like this in his game breakdown,
"the Giants have a good passing attack, but I'd take Moss and Stallworth over Plaxico and Company any day."
Notice who he blatantly omitted? He lists Stallworth, but not Welker? How biased can an analyst get! He actually wrote up the whole "report" mentioning Stallworth twice, but Welker not even once! Sounds like racism to me!

If Welker were to also win most overrated player, I guess we could conjecture that there is a strong racial component. That just wouldn't make sense. That would mean Wes is a very "polarizing" figure.

Here is what clown Brett Perimann had to say about Wes Welker. "Wes Welker. With the system New England runs and Randy Moss alone drawing double and triple coverage, (Welker) runs 5-yard option routes. I can send a below-average player to do the same thing and you will get the same results." -- Brett Perriman

Just another angry negro who feels entitled and doesn't like the fact that there is a white player at a caste position, who is one of the best, most consistent players in the league.

Triple coverage? Is he serious, does anybody actually triple cover a WR in the NFL?
