this isn't technically media 'racism or stereotyping'.. but I think it's relevant to the media caste matrix. A matrix where minority Liberal views dominate most of the public dialogue.
This sanctimonious dunce has made undermining 2nd amendment rights his personal crusade, & his ratings are suffering for it. even when he temporarily changes the subject and goes back to tabloid stuff, it looks like there's no one left watching anyways.

Piers Morgan is a sad joke. He's only here polluting our airwaves because he was essentially kicked out of the UK. In addition to his attention-whoring commentary about our "horrid" Second Amendment, he had this ridiculous sad-faced remark in regards to the late Hugo Chavez: "He reduced unemployment significantly, brought millions of Venezuelans out of the poverty trap." Yes, Chavez was just as successful as his mentor, Fidel Castro, in achieving this.:wacko:

He is being paid alot of money by the networks or whoever to essentially 'troll' Americans and get them wound up.He has the persona and the accent to get the audiences hissing and he appeals to the deep rooted anglophobia that exists in the US.Thats why he has the job.Interestingly Piers comes from an Irish family and was born Piers O'Meara :biggrin1: but for some reason changed his name.

Tens of viewers were disappointed to learn that Morgan's show has been cancelled (final airing at the end of March). A pair of fill-in hosts will close out the show. In a New York Times article, Morgan honorably conceded that he was becoming 'the guy at the end of the bar' who rants nightly about the same subjects..

It is amazing how many British people are on American TV. They even have talk show like the late night guy on CBS.

How does Sharon Osborne get to be on a talk show.

There was House. There was also a detective show with the guy playing an American. Simon Baker I think his name is. These Brits are playing Americans.

There was that Aussie woman on Six Feet Under who played an American.

Kate Winslet always plays American woman.

The guys who plays Norman Bates on Bates Motel is English.

CNN even has a black British woman.

There are probably many others.

Many British journalists got pink slips when the layoff cycle hit in the summer of 2008. I recall seeing a few on Canadian tv reading the news and weather too. The economic near depression hit Britain much harder than most parts of the US. Also guys like Piers Morgan were probably cut for salary reasons too. Similar to cuts of veterans in the NFL....:biggrin1:
