Philip Rivers

Dalton is going to have a tough game against Rivers. Rivers truly has been one of the great underrated quarterbacks this season.

Philip Rivers has been an excellent quarterback for the Chargers for years. He's one of the best in the NFL.

Today he has a chance to break an NFL record. Going into today's game he has 20 straight passes completed. The record is 24.

Four more completions will tie the record and five will break it.

Good luck to Philip Rivers!

Weenieworld takes a shot at Rivers. Rivers has a large Christian family, which is admirable. But apparently readers are supposed to conjure up images of all the black affletes who have "countless" children to "countless" baby mamas. Or maybe Weenieworld is just ticked off at a White man being bountiful instead of eagerly participating in the extinction of his race like he's supposed to.

Philip Rivers told a San Diego radio station that he is now willing to embrace the Chargers' move to Los Angeles. The father of countless children who go to school in San Diego, there were rumors two offseasons ago that Rivers might request a trade if the Chargers moved. The sides agreed on a five-year, $99 million contract and things have been hunky dory ever since. "I'm not gonna be there for 13 years but I'm gonna give 'em all I've got in the short time I have left," said 35-year-old Rivers. Rivers will be getting back Keenan Allen (ACL) to go with promising youngsters Tyrell Williams and Hunter Henry with Ken Whisenhunt's offensive staff returning.

The great Philip Rivers became just the fourth NFL QB to start 200 games in a row yesterday. The others are Brett Favre and the Manning brothers.

Favre had some mobility, but the other three are among the slowest quarterbacks when it comes to foot speed, but what they share in common is tremendous pocket awareness. Rivers' accomplishment is particularly notable because he's played behind a lot of terrible offensive lines during his career (as has Eli).

Tom Brady is another slow afoot Ironman QB with great pocket awareness who would be on the list except for the blown-out knee he suffered in the first game of the '08 season.

Philip Rivers's son is a 5-star QB for the class of 2027. I hope I posted in the right place. I thought it was too early to start a 2027 thread. I get in trouble when I think though.
Awesome! 2 great offers already. Auburn and NC State (dad’s alma mater). Since Philip has like 10 kids, I wonder how more of his boys will be recruited athletes?
