Rene Portland is the very successful, long-time head coach of Penn State's women's basketball team. Some months back, a black lesbian player who quit the team claimed that Portland "discriminated" against her, and today Penn State fined and disciplined Portland. What a surprise that the university sided with a black lesbian over a white heterosexual.

Actually Portland had been convicted by the media the day the former player went public with her charges. The eventual outcome was never in doubt. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

The front-page of today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has prominent stories on: 1. Portland being fined for her "homophobia"; 2.the two Duke lacrosse players being charged with rape; 3. an article entitled "Germany Agrees to Open Protected Nazi Files";and 4. an article about the ongoing battle by vying groups to win the right to build a casino in the city of Pittsburgh, as many city and state governments can no longer operate without large amounts of gambling revenue pouring in.

I wonder how many Americans of the aged World War II generation still haven't realized that in the aftermath of the U.S. "victory" in the Great Liberal Holy War of 1939-45, their country has been destroyed from within by the same forces that still revel in every detail, both accurate and fictional,of the triumph over the Axis powers.

Here's a link to the Portland story:

The contrived "controversy" involving Penn State coach Rene Portland isn't receiving national attention, but it is getting a lot of media coverage in Pennsylvania, with all of it being as one-sided as the media's coverage of the Duke witch hunt.

Unlike just about all targets of the Cultural Marxist hatemongers, Portland thus far has not backed down; in fact she has announced "it is time to fight back" as she is sued by a former player, a black lesbian who is suing on the grounds of both racial and sexual orientation discrimination. (Yeah right, large state universities routinely discriminate against blacks in their basketball programs.)

Portland is another targeted victim of the vicious, insatiableanti-white forces running things. Let's hope she prevails in the federal lawsuit that has been filed against her.

I'd love to see a lawsuit from the girls -- outstanding, big-time recruits -- I know who had to give up the sport in college because of the lesbian recruiting and hazing.

Since when are white women fair game? I thought they were minorties too? Or is this a situation of a double minority, trying to trump a single minority. I see a Dennis Leary joke somewhere here.........

The black lesbian plaintiff has now amended her complaint against Rene Portland to include a charge of "defamation" of the plaintiff by the defendant. Read this short story and see if you can make any sense out of it at all. My comments follow:

The Associated Press

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- A former Penn State basketball player in the midst of a discrimination lawsuit against coach Rene Portland said Portland made "defamatory statements" against her, the latest chapter in the months-long verbal and legal battle.

Jennifer Harris amended her lawsuit initially filed in December in response to comments Portland made in a statement May 18. Harris contends in the suit that Portland discriminated against her because the longtime coach perceived her to be a lesbian.

Portland has firmly denied the accusations and said in the statement that Harris' departure was related only to basketball issues. "The sexual orientation or race of any player or person is irrelevant to me," the coach said.

In court documents filed Tuesday, Harris' lawyers said Portland's comments were false.

"We're not saying Rene does not have a right to defend herself. Of course she does," said Harris' attorney, Karen Doering, of the National Center for Lesbian Rights. "But the law does not permit her to make defamatory statements, which is what she has done by claiming that Jennifer was unable to make contributions to the team."

Harris' lawyers, in a statement, contend that Portland "retaliated" against their client in spite of the school's warnings after an internal probe that found Portland violated school policy for her alleged hostile treatment of Harris, fined her $10,000 and threatened to fire her for any future violations.

They have also filed another affirmative action complaint with the university.

A spokesman for Portland declined comment yesterday. [end of article, emphasis added]

As best I can decipher, the "defamation" is based on an alleged "false" statement by Portland that the plaintiff "was unable to make contributions to the team."

This is about as chilling as it gets when it comes to striking down the First Amendment. They are saying thata coach's subjective appraisal of a player's potential to help the team -- is "defamatory" because it is "false."

It appears that there are powerful forces funding this witch hunt and that the real agenda is not just to shut up and destroy Rene Portland but to send a message to all coaches everywhere that you better handle all openly "gay" players with kid gloves if not outright favoritism.

Interesting because teachers in colleges regularly make defamatory comments regarding straight white men. But I guess straight white men are fair game in this country.

The university completed an internal investigation of Portland in April and fined Portland $10,000 and threatened to fire her if the coach violated anymore of the university's anti-discrimination policies.

"We took the position that was not quite enough," said Kendell, whose group filed an amended affirmative action complaint against Portland because of alleged defamatory statements she made against the plaintiff in a May 18 statement about the university's findings.
It's never enough. The lez bitches want her fired.

The Cultural Marxists and their enablers in the government-corporate media cartel add another feather to their cap as Rene Portland resigns after 27 years and 606 wins at Penn State, with two years still to go on her contract. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette trumpeted their victory on the front page today:

Penn State women's basketball coach quits

On-court success marred by accusations of bias against gays

Never forgive, never forget:

Smizik: Why did it take Penn State so long to get rid of Portland?

By Bob Smizik, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
There is only one question to be asked in the aftermath of Rene Portland's resignation last week as coach of the Penn State women's basketball team.

Why did it take so long?

Rest of article: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07084/772361-194.stm

Looks like Judge and Jury Smizik is a one man lynch mob. He writes as if he has a vendetta against the coach, and objects when Portland has "the gall" to fight back after she has been pronounced politically unclean by the marxists. I've seen hatchet jobs like this before, and I think it's resentment on the part of sportswriters at being talked down to so often by much more intelligent and accomplished coaches.

From what I've seen of some lesbians, I can easily imagine the tension they can create within a team, especially now that they are so protected. God only knows the miseries and pressures younger players have endured in the locker room at the hands of older dykes. Why doesn't the university gestapo look into that issue if they are so keen on rooting out sexual harassment and oppression?

The other a day a little girly man called up a local radio station and slammed Joe Paterno for backing Mrs. Portland -- the clown said "She was a total bigot, but only survived for 27 years because Paterno acted as her personal rabbi and protected her".

I vaguely knew of this story a few years ago, but until this week I did not know the details of this saga or even what this woman looked like. She is the only head coach Joe Pa ever hired during his tenure as PSU's athletic director and, outside of the Lesbian issue, she was a grand slam (an awesome hire) for Joe and the school -- won games, filled the arena, ect. Had it not been for politics, she would very likely be considered one of the 5 to 10 greatest female basketball coaches ever.

Getting away from all that, I found an awesome link that some here would find amazing. Lesbian and gay groups put a target on Rene's back in 1986 because of an article that came out in a liberal rag from Chicago. What totally shocks me, and is very sad, is back in 1986 Mrs. Portland was seen as a "hero" for trying to rid women's athletics of the lesbian stigma and was widely beloved by fans and the media:

http://www.clubs.psu.edu/up/psupride/articles/Chicago Sun Times 06161986.pdf

However, by the early 2000's, in our warped nation, this pleasant woman became the face of all evil and Joe Pa. is still being shamed by some idiots for supporting her. Here is the new "face of women's sports" and she also coaches at PSU (Portland State), oddly enough?
