Can you guys imagine how exciting it would have been if we could have seen these guys as teammates for the last decade or so? If they were both in their prime, it would be an even better show. Unstopable. Better late than never. These guys deserve a ring.

I still remember that epic series. The Kings were up 3 to 1. The Lakers win game 5 by an unreal last second shot by Robert "Big Shot Bob" Hory. If he doesn't make that shot, Kings win that series and probably the Championship that year.

I really hope everything goes the Mavs way this year.

You're forgetting that Horry's shot shouldn't have counted. The clock had clearly expired before the ball released from his hand. That shot was a big reason that, not long after, video reviews of last shots of quarters/ halves were added to NBA rules.

The officiating in this series was so bad that I doubt there is a case in the history of NBA basketball that a playoff series was called so unfairly. I remember a crucial "ghost foul" called on Christie that sent Kobe to the line. Vlade was playing Shaq so well, but Vlade would get in foul trouble nearly every game when 2, 3 even 4 of those fouls (if the whistle was blown) should have been offensive ones on Shaq. There was also an important block late in one of those games by Webber that was called a foul.

Bottom line: The only game the Lakers legitimately won was game 7 and only due to horrendous foul shooting. The Kings were screwed out of 3 victories by the officials.

Hopefully next year he will go all the way and do the same in the Finals.

alln2, thanks for posting that great video of Peja, with a great soundtrack.

Yeah, Peja was glued to the bench during the finals, but as the video demonstrates he was instramental in helping the Mavs get to the title series. He and his teammates know this.

The silvering lining is that he is a World Champ and will get a coveted ring next opening game. Congrats Peja you deserve it.
