Asleep at the switch but I missed his fight was it last night? Guy is creating a big buzz with his speed. Will they replay the match--if so when? Anyone watch it?

I watched it and his opponent did just what he was supposed to do: follow him around the ring, not throw many punches and only throw a punch when Paulie was well out of range. Paulie displayed very good speed, fast combinations and medium power (at no time did he hurt or stun his opponent.)I will wait to judge him until he gets into the ring with a real fighter. Although, if Malignaggi were black we would be hearing of another " Pretty boy Floyd", cause I do not see alot of difference. If and when P.M. gets some usable power to go along with his speed, he will be hard to beat in the upper tear.

He said he only wants to fight name fighters from now on, and he is only 25 if I remember correctly... Hopefully he gets the big fights and becomes more prominent in boxing

I watched it Paulie match on tape. I am not going to get too hung up on the power part. I saw a genuine fighter. Excellent speed , good movement like mentioned above. And above all he has classic punces. Great jab too. *******y yeh but most fighters all. I think he is going places. Very exciting.

from fightnews:

http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/results-from-donetsk-ukraine-114021

Former world champion Paulie Malignaggi (31-4, 7 KOs) scored a ninth round TKO over previously unbeaten WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (32-1, 21 KOs) to claim the WBA 147lb belt on Sunday night at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Ukraine. Good start for the shorter Malignaggi who had a big edge in handspeed and usually beat Senchenko to the punch. The champion started to come on in round four and it seemed the tide was turning.

However, by round seven, Paulie’s jabs had developed a mouse under Senchenko’s left eye and “The Magic Manâ€￾ began to target that eye causing it to swell dramatically. Referee Steve Smoger took a long look at the damaged eye in round eight and the eye was completely closed at the start of round nine. After Malignaggi rocked Senchenko with a big right hand he never saw coming, Smoger waved it off to save the Ukrainian from further damage. Time was 1:10.

Malignaggi is now expected to defend his new belt on October 20 at the new Barclays Center in his native Brooklyn.

I LOVE it!!! Paulie "Walnuts" is among my favorite fighters. This has revived his career and might be able to get him a big money fight down the road with Pacman or Gayweather. His Brooklyn street fighter personality can sell PPV's alone.......

Speaking of Gayweather, I happen to be in Las Vegas at the moment - a seedy city that gives me the heeby jeebies - and a few hours ago I was in the small Chinatown and just passed the Mayweather Boxing Club. Maybe I'm wrong but it looked like it was shut down.

I agree, WIS. Paulie has been to the deepest valleys of his career, like when he was ripped off in the 1st Jaun Diaz fight and when he brutally lost by the hands of Miguel Cotto. I did not think he would recover from that beating.

But now Paulie is on the highest mountain. Congrats for this perservence and going into the opponents backyard and getting the TKO.! I haven't seen the fight, but from what I am reading it was a great performance and fight. He now is a world titlist, hope he can cash in and pull some upsets against the big names or HBO hyped affelets.

Hey Werewolf, I remember a cool boxing muesum in Vegas right on the strip. I believe its near the MGM grand. I visited it back in 1994 while in town for the Paz vs Duran fight, don't know if its still there, if so, worth it.

As for Malinaggi, I don't like him. He's got no punch, and he does up his hair like a negro. How did he manage to KO that undefeated Ukrainian?

Malignaggi deserves full credit for going to a foreign country and winning a world title.

You won't see the pampered, protected cowards like Ward, Mayweather, Dawson and Hopkins ever going overseas for a world title fight.

I had seen Senchenko's last fight against a badly rated opponent and although he didn't look very good, i thought he would up his game for this fight. I don't really care for Malignaggi but at least he'll put up more resistence to those who expected to pick up Senchenko's belt.

Yeah, as for Bopkins , hopefully after last night, in losing the fight and title to Dawson, we won't have see him or his clown face again in the ring. I'm glad he was. Never able to lure Calzadge out of retirement. Bopkins will go to his grave by getting smacked around by a Whiteboy! Lol

Wheather you love Paulie or hate him you gotta respect the man. Hes all heart and balls, and he takes a punch as good as anybody Ive ever seen. I hope Senchenko comes back and wins his next fight, and sticks around for a few more years.

I don't know much about him. I mostly follow the heavies. But I figure if he does his hair up like a n'r he must be a w'r.

Westside - I went over to the Mandalay Hotel & Casino yesterday. Wasted trip as I anticipated. The fight museum is still listed on the lobby map, but it's been gone for several months now.

Look, pansy, when I want your analysis of who and what I am I'll pick you up by your little feet and shake it out of you.

"I don't have to answer your questions"

Translation from the Wigger dialect of Ebonics: Yes, I am.

The quicker I get outa this city the better I'll like it. The whole place reeks of the Jewish mobsters that founded it. Dollar sign instaed of a soul. And why are there so many negroes in the middle of the desert? Because the casinos imported them for cheap labor. And now they're flooding the place with Mexicans for the same reason.

The only good thing I like about it is I found some good Asian restaurants, and Lake Mead is pretty neat, and so is the real desert.

Tastes and opinions, of course, differ, but mine are, of course, correct.

If this stupid troll cunt gets me banned with him I'm going to be ****ing angry. I'd have gone from never being banned from a forum in my life to two in a couple of days - both at the hands of self hating losers.
