Did I mention he's only 20?!

Obviously the same caveats apply with Appleby as they do with all prospects. Good puncher, very dynamic, hittable. His defensive skills will define his career. I'm not going to get too excited about a young fighter that punches well, especially after Lee's recent loss. But there's nothing wrong with enjoying his offense! And when I think of how much he can develop over four or five years, with the base he has now... woah.

Appleby has a fight on June 6th against tough Scot John Simpson. This should go along way to prove if he's the goods or not. I think him and the English Kevin Mitchell are legit.
