so Packers are sticking to Brett which i find recommendable, but even with all the injuries on the players etc. some of them are back and Brett keeps heaving this ball out there for anyone to pick up... he reached his career season high in the first half vs Ravens (24 picks in the season)...
last four games of Brett: 3TDs, 9 INT, pretty uncharacteristic... i would like to see what young Aaron Rodgers can do before this draft... they should know whether he is their QB of the future or not by that point...

If the Packers wish to see Brett continue with his iron man streak , let him start and then replace him with Rodgers. How stupid to let himsit on the bench and stagnate. Many of the fans have decided Rodgers is a dud, based only on the little amount of time he played in pre-season.

I think they need to bench Favre. He is doing the Pack a disservice by continuing to play, and damaging his legacy. They should play Rodgers the rest of this game and the next two, get him some game time before next year's draft to see if they need to work on getting another QB.

Not to mention that the way Favre is playing gives Vick nuthuggers someone to compare their Superhero to favorably.

Its a sad day when Favre plays worse than Mike Vick.

They're not gonna bench Favre because they play the Bears Sunday. The Bears have won about 4 games since he started being Green Bays quarterback.

Favre has earned the respect he gets from the white corporate media, even though they've hounded him for years about retiring. He's the second most productive QB in NFL history and his iron man streak is as impressive as that of Cal Ripken in baseball. The talent around him is so thin that Brett doesn't have a lot of options right now other than slinging it downfield and hoping for the best. The Packers are pathetic.

Excuse me and don't mind me for saying but Brett's recievers are all ,
well B...k and sholud they ever decide to get him a "
Clutch" type reciever like Bill Schrader again, I think he would make
some plays. Lets hope the hall of famer can get Mike Hass in
next years draft and actually get someone that will go up for a
pass, someone that will follow him to the right when hes scrambling and
someone who can read a blitz and react as a " hot' reciever. Just
my thoughts no race or stereotype entended, but dam his recievers sure
seemed to suffer from Afro fingers and Negro arms tonight.

well theoretically both Ferguson and Driver are pretty solid wrs... but yeah i bet he missed Bill Schroeder just abaout now :D

I dunno...

Favre's Qb rating is around 75% (73.1) but he has 24 INT v 19 TD. The next closest quarterback in INT is Aaron Brooks, who only has 17. Eli Manning has 16, but 22 TD passes.

Favre has literally twice as many INT as Vick, Frerotte, Harrington, Dilfer, and Collins, who all have only 11 or 12 INT a piece.

Favre is 1st in the league in INT, and 10th overall in TD passes.

Its a tough call. Some of it may be his receiver's fault, but there is nothing wrong with throwing the ball away once in a while.

I doubt Noah Herron would be considered white. And as a Packer fan all I can say is that the decks need to be cleared, and perhaps even Favre sent down the road. The problem with Brett is that when Holmgren left no coach felt they could discipline him. Ray Rhodes and his OC left the game plan up to Favre and that failed miserably. Enter Mike Sherman who cannot discipline him either letting him chuck the ball up time after time something Holmgren would have benched him for. In 95 Favre was actually applauded by the Lambo fans for actually throwing the ball away and into the stands. Sherman built an offensive line and brought in Green (then disciplined him for his fumbleitis) and they were above average in spite of the undisciplined Favre and his chuck the ball up into triple coverage antics.

exactly... Brett seems to think, ah hell i'll just toss it up there as hard as i can and maybe someone will come up with it, maybe it's just frustration...

If Favre threw the ball away the Packers probably wouldn't get any first downs. They're playing scrub RBs, scrub TEs, and Donald Driver is the only decent receiver. Robert Ferguson is a joke, another example of a black drafted in the first round who is kept around year after yeareven though he's terrible.

Favre looks bad, but he's in a hopeless situation. I don't think any quarterback would look good on that team right now.

This is the one instance (tounge in cheek) that V..k would probably do
better in terms of being able to run out of the pocket and get the ball
up field. V..k could at least add the run demension to a team
that has no passing game (just like he does in Atlanta) : )
