I watched quite a bit of the 49ers-Titans game last night. The Titans
moronic 1st round pick, Adam "Pac-Man" Jones, put on quite a
performance. This complete derelict exemplifies what is wrong with
professional sports. Simply put, Jones is a horrible football player.
He fumbled 2 of the 4 punts he fielded, and let another go by and be
downed at the 2 yard line. He was beaten like a drum as a CB, despite
the announcers making constant excuses for him, and the referees
giving him a break by calling offensive pass interference on a
play when he clearly was the one doing the interfering. One would
assume that, given the horrendous night he had, Jones would be hanging
his head in shame. Not quite; this rocket scientist was jumping up and
down all night, smiling after every mistake and celebrating after he'd
done nothing. Here we have a known "problem" character, who since being
drafted by the Titans, has already had yet another brush with the law,
and a long, protracted contract holdout. Exactly what is the attraction
with no-talent thugs like this? He has criminal tendencies, has already
alienated his teammates, held out longer than almost all the
first-round picks and appears to be an abysmal football player. Boy,
that's an attractive combination! And remember, this worthless moron
was selected by probably one of the most sensible organizations in the
league. Yet the same "talent" evaluators in the NFL ran an awesome
specimen like Cade McNown out of the league, will not employ the likes
of Luke Staley, don't even give the Jesse Lumsdens and Brock Forseys a
single carry in preseason, are going to cut Jereme Urban because he
dropped a few passes in practice (when he plays for a team that has
employed black WRs for years who drop numerous passes every game) and
have no interest in Tim Couch.
