Oscar De LA Hoya comeback rumours

The latest on the boxing rumours mill is that Oscar De LA Hoya may soon be attempting a comeback. Oscar is 42 and hasn't fought in more than 5 years. What's more is that he has called out GGG :S.

I seriously hope this doesn't actually materialize. GGG will wreck him and Oscar doesn't need that at his age.

Maybe at 42, he's sensing a bit of his own mortality and wants one last kick at the can.

Maybe he's embolden as a result of watching all the mundane latinos he puts out as contenders on "Fight Club" and thinks "hey, even I can beat these bums".

In any case, he's going to need two, maybe three years of training to burn-off that burrito belly he's sporting. It seems his biggest fight lately is against the dessert table at the Bellagio!

I don't believe him. He's all talk. I think he is just trying to make Mayweather look bad.

Apparently Oscar is in the gym training for his comeback. He has said he wants to fight GGG or Mayweather right off the bat. It is true that he gave Mayweather one of his toughest fights (I hhad it a draw, Mayweather was lucky to get a split decision) but that was 8 years ago.

Oscar has been in and out of rehab for years for drug, alcohol, and sex addictions. This comeback will end up badly if it materializes.

Mayweather would never take the fight as there is nothing for him to gain. GGG would destroy Oscar of course. Outside of the boxing world GGG is an unknown. Beating the crap out of Oscar might get his name out there even if everybody knows it's an easy fight for him.

One has to wonder if De la Hoya had been drinking liquid courage the night he mentioned "GGG"....that would be a scary fight for him with the brutal beatdown that would ensue...that might be hard to watch!

His fishnet stockings must be too tight as the blood flowing to his brain is minimal at best. He was last seen looking like a human pinata against Maneee back 6 or so years ago. What would a guy who is a natural middleweight do to him who is in his prime and is a HUGE puncher do to him. I hope he looks flat in the gym and one of his yes men surrounding him tell him the emperor has no clothes.

Not really certain if Oscar will come back. But if he does, no way will he fight GGG. He is not stupid. But, I can see him coming back against Mayweather. That fight will earn him at least 30 million and he will not have to worry about Floyd knocking him out. He will most likely lose in another boring fight involving Mayweather. He looks to be around 165 / 170 lbs. walking around. So it will be relatively easy getting back in shape to cast a facade of being "ready". He stated that he will fight at 154 lbs rather than the absurd 147 lbs when he was stopped by Pacman.

Oscar will merely be used as a big named jobber to "put over" Golovkin as they would call it in pro wrestling. But this would be a stupid move on Oscar's part because he'll sit in a coma once it's over.

With Gayweather possibly having his last fight in September, I'm sure he'd like to have another easy and boring decision win in a rematch against him. I know many people will fall for this scam.

Gaylahoya stands no chance against GGG. If he gets in the ring with Gayweather, it will be a hug-fest for the ages.

Not interested in seeing the fish-netted one anywhere near a ring.

Anyone who believes this fool DelaHoya is just plain stupid. He was a very good fighter 10 years ago, but he's now a drugged out grandpa and if he comes out of retirement it will be for a big payout. He needs the money for his company.
