These 3 guys we got at linebacker are absolutly SICK. Without a doubt the top linebacking trio in the nation and already proclaimed that by collegefootball news and several other college football publications. For those of you who aren't Buckeye fans at weakside OLB we got 6'1 238 AJ Hawk who was 1st team All-America last year and he was 2nd team his soph. yr. At MLB we got Dallas native Anthony Schlegel 6'2 250 who his plain and simple run stopping beast. At strong side OLB is Bobby Carpenter 6'3 255 who is just like Hawk and his dad played for the NY Giants in the 80s. Hawk will be next year's Derrick Johnson you know a top 10 pick and best LB in the nation and Carpenter will also be a 1st Rd pick. Schlegel will be in the 3rd RD and a steal for anyone who gets him. GO BUCKS!!!!

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for those guys this fall. Ohio State seems to have had a propensity for starting an above average number of whites on defense as of late, which is good to see. Let's hope other big-time programs will follow their lead.

This was Bobby Carpenter's quote,"People are always underestimating the speed of northern players, they're always talking about southern speed, the speed belt of Florida,Texas and California ".I think what Carpenter means by northern players is white players and when mentioned southern speed,he's talking black players.Just trying to clear things up for the PC Carpenter.

Greetings,

This is my first post. Have been a fan of the website for some time now. As an OSU fan for many years, I'd like to chime in. Hawk is definitely a blue-chipper. Carpenter, a notch below, improved substantially last year. I was disappointed in Schlegel's play, but to his credit he improved as the season went on. Don't forget about D'Andrea and another LB whose name escapes me. He was a Division I transfer in '04 from Indiana ( thus, ineligible )where he started as a freshman.

Welcome to Caste Football BonnieBlue! We have many college teams to watch this fall. You can bet we'll keep up with it here. By the way, I guess you know what song this is. We are a band of brothers...?

I urge everyone to go to collegefootballnews.com and check out today's preview of Ohio St. The only thing they did that pissed me off was saying Ginn is better than Hawk because of all Ted can do but whatever. They really rave over OSU's linebackers and boy oh boy Hawk running a 4.46 as they said gives him Cb speed at LB.
They even go on to say the best defensive player wasn't even in this year's draft(HAWK). Bobby Carpenter gets great props as well and Schelgel as they said will be making a good living in the NFL next year.

I get horny(just a metaphore) thinking about this year's Ohio State team and the best linbackers in the nation. Hawk, Carpenter, and Schegel are gonna kick the ebonics out of Vince Young and Texas.

Another Ohio State guy here....A.J. Hawk is definitely a stud....OSU's defense should be great this upcoming season...Hopefully QB Justin Zwick can play up to his hype coming out of high school a few years ago.....

Hopefully Ohio State will do well with these men in the linebacking corps. Sounds like a great group of talented individuals.
