I will cheer for the Bobcats this year. Look's like a very White team and I like Frank Solich. Go Bobcats. Ohio has a lot of good White high school football players. Massillon has been a football powerhouse for years.

I told ya Col. Reb Ohio U. has a ton of white starters. Though this program has been so bad for so long its going to take Solich at least 4 years or once he has all of his own recruits in to turn this ship around. Ohio didn't have a good recruiting class this year and that is in part due to Solich getting hired so late in the recruiting season. So we'll see how good OU is in a few years.

MLB Matt Muncy is the real deal on D but because the team was so mediocre he didn't get that much attention. He had tons of tackles for loss last season and lead the team in tackles overall. On offense Scott Mayle is a bad muther you know what. He has some of the best speed in the whole nation now all he needs is a QB to give him the damn ball and he'll good to go.

I hope they will be on TV some this year. They would be fun to watch, even if they don't do so well. If anyone can turn it around, it will be Solich. I hope he keeps the whites coming into the program.

I hope Frank Solich can get the Bobcats a winning season and a Bowl game. There are some very good high school football players in Ohio-Ohio State can't use them all. In just a few short seasons I'd like to see a very White Bobcat team become a MAC power.

One thing is for certain, we will be watching!

Two of their football games will be televised this year. Sept. 10 vs. Pitt on ESPN2 or ESPNU at 8 or 8:30 and again with the same channel and time but this time its vs Miami U. on Nov. 4. They'll probably lose both but being on national TV twice is a start especially for OU.

Well, it just happened. Perennial MAC bottom feeder Ohio just beat Pitt. It may be the Bobcats' biggest win ever.


Ohio's new coach is Frank Solich, who was run out of Nebraska. Pitt ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown and then never scored a touchdown the rest of the game against Ohio's majority white defense. Let's hope this is the beginning of a big turnaround for the program.


Caste System afficianado Dave Wannstedt has been treated by the Pittsburgh media as some kind of savior since he replaced Walt Harris as Pitt's head coach. He now claims not to even remember Brock Forsey after not giving him a chance in Miami last year. His all black defense was destroyed by Notre Dame last week and he'll really take some heat after this loss.

I watched the game and thought that I was watching Nebraska in green uniforms. Mostly white athletes and Frank Solich on the sidelines. Solich has to get a better QB. I don't think that he completed a pass over 10 yds. The only time Scott Mayle got the ball was on reverses. Good win for the Bobcats!

the lack of a solid passing quarterback is the only legitimate thing preventing Mayle from being an All-American candidate. he has all the physical tools, except for a lot of melanin

, and big-time playmaking ability. it's a shame he plays on an option-based offense.

I'am glad Ohio beat Pitt!! I used to like Pitt when they had White players like Marino, Fralic and Ditka. But I like Ohio better!!

Ohio's almost all white D shut down Pitt and that "star" WR Greg whatever his name is. The MLB Matt Muncy looked spectacular as he was all over the place.

It is an interesting article, but I wouldn't call getting an A from the BCA an "Honor." I wonder how long it will be before their goal changes and becomes getting and keeping a quota of black college coaches instead of seeing that schools use "racially fair" methods for choosing their coaches?

You are right about about the "A"! I would not see how that is an honor. All it means is that you played by the rules of what blacks want you to do for hiring a head coach. Not an honor at all!


Ohio was right in hiring Frank Solich. Solich is looking at a lotta High School Nebraska boys to bring up to Ohio and get that Option Style offense going again that he is great at. I heard that there is another Makovika (spelling) that he has brought in for next year.Anyone remeber Jeff and Joel? Great fullbacks out of the cornhusker state.
