This potential Fiesta Bowl match up would be a great game to watch. There would be white stars on the field all over the place. Let's see you would have Hawk and (hopefully) Carpenter guarding Fassano and Mike Kudla and Quinn Pit******* rushing star QB Brady Quinn. Ohio St starts 12 white guys and ND's got only 2 on D but one of them being star S Tom Zibrowski. On offense is Quinn and the great WR Samardijza and Mackey Award finalist TE Anthony Fassano. Everyone would watch this game and see just how good and fast guys like Hawk, Samradijiza, DE Mike Kudla, and WR Anthony Gonzalez really are.

Don't forget about WR Matt Shelton playing in his last game. Backup but often on the field FB Asaph Schwapp, who will likely be the starting FB next year, will be trading licks with Ohio State MLB Anthony Schlegel as well. That would be an awesome matchup, but personally I'd rather see both teams play against and beat backer teams, instead of each other.

White CB,

It would be a great match up. I love the Ohio State Linebacking Core... Plain Studs.

Agree with Colonel Rebel though.

Yeah I was gonna bring up the point of an OSU or Notre Dame instead beating up on a really really black team but deciced that my post was already long as it was. Though you have to consider that it would be a win win situation with ND vs. OSU as people would realize that wow the white guys sure can ball and might be making a come back. On the other hand if ND or OSU would lose(witch I doubt) to a all black team it would just hurt the situation but if ND or OSU would both win, or maybe just one of them, it would be great for white athletes every where. I really think ND and especially OSU could whoop the crap out of a LSU or VT team.

It's kind of funny because when I look at Notre Dame,I look at possibly the future MVP of the NFL in Brady Quinn.I also see a constant Pro Bowl Receiver in Jeff Samardzija.

In Ohio State it is all about the linebackers.Could we be looking at another Brian Urlacher?Very possible. This match up is still going to be fun to watch because you have a incredible defense(Buckeyes) up against an almost unstopable offense in Not.Dame!Who will win?I'm not sure but I'm leaning towards the fighting irish.Either way,it will be a great game despite them playing each other!

No doubt about it being a good game. I guess in some ways, it could be considered a "throwback game," with all the white stars that will be on the field. I know a big OSU fan who is really excited about the game. It will probably be the best bowl game of the year.

Let's not forget Zbikowski and Fasano, who could also make names for themselves in this game. I would expect a close game, meaning that a big play (offensive, defensive, or special teams) could be the deciding factor.

OSU v. ND, on the national stage? The TV ratings for this game would be HUGE, even outside the Midwest region.

OSU vs. Notre Dame would be the 2nd biggest bowl game without a doubt, behind the national champ. game of course and even that game probably won't be as good as this one. Who knows for sure what will play out but we'll all find out next Monday when the BCS match ups are announced. No other non championship bowl game would come close to touching this one. Tressel and Weis have both done outstanding jobs of putting the best players on the field depite what the caste system says.

whiteCB, I agree with that last sentence wholly, but I have to add that in Charlie W's case, he did the most with the white players he had. We'll see if he brings in more whites over the next few years If he does then we can say the same about him as Tressel.

To be fair to Weis he did recruit a white CB last year from Ohio in Kyle McCarthy that OSU(go figure) wastrying to get their hands on as well. I love this kid McCarthy he even told bucknuts.com, Ohio St.'s online insider scouting service, "its'tough getting recruited being a white CB". Gotta love the kid for finally saying how it is.

I don't see the game happening because the bowls will want to split the huge number of traveling alumnus that each school has. Bowl games usually always match east-west or north-south. Ideally ND should be in the Big Ten getting it's ass whipped by the occational neighbor like UM/OSU have to endure. Look how transfering to the Big Ten took the luster off of Penn State (though they have had a good year this year)

The hype for this game is already unreal.I live in Arizona and it is going to be a war.I gotta get tickets to see this game.I'm torn because I've always liked Ohio State but like I said above,I'm pulling for Notre Dame. They are just too much fun to watch on offense. It should be one of the best bowl games period.I will enjoy it more than the USC/Texas Game.

Your right white lightning, ND is ball to watch on offense with Quinn having some great targets to throw to like Samardjiza and Anothony Fassano but for Ohio State its exactly the same only on the other side of the ball. Ohio State's LBs(the best in the country) are a blast to watch run around and pound on people. Hawk is a playmaker who gets sacks and INTS on top of all his tackles. Mike Kudla Ohio St's all conference DE is a menace on the line and is always getting to the QB. I live in Ohio so I'll be rooting for the Buckeyes but good luck to ND and the great season they've had. This game will just be fun to watch.

So guys who's got predictions on this game? Which team is gonna come out on top? Quinn for Offensive MVP or perhaps Samardijiza. How about denfensive MVP maybe the big names like Hawk or Zbirowski or perhaps a Schlegel or Kudla. Buckeyes or the Fighting Irish whos it gonna be?

I'll be rooting for Notre Dame. Quinn's a great QB, Samardjiza's all-world, and Tommy Z. is a great defensive back/punt returner.OSU has someexcellent defensive playersplus Gonzalez at WR, butNotre Dame hasa national following, so as far as putting some dents in the Caste System, go Irish! 35-24.

The hype is already starting for thisd huge bowl game. Every article I have read about the upcoming bowl season lists this game as the 2nd best bowl game(to USC vs. TEX). All the publications agree this is a great matchup and how could you not like this game. Everybody is getting pumped for this huge matchup and I'm really looking forward to what will definitly be my favorite game of the year. GO BUCKS!!!

I think it is the best bowl game of the year. USC will run away with Texas after halftime. I pick Notre Dame to win this game. Next year they could be a favorite to be in the championship game. Edited by: Colonel_Reb

This game has another interesting subtext:

I read yesterday that Brady Quinn's sister has caused a local ruckus by dating OSU's A.J. Hawk.

Can't you just imagine Hawk drilling Quinn, and then telling him "It guess I'm nailing you AND your sister!"

Good one Southern Knight. Quinn's sister is hot as I saw her on Cold Pizza last week. So Hawk got himself a good one.

Whats an "em" as you are referring to Hawk in your above comment. Whats wrong with Hawk's long hair its a 70s thing. A lot of great white athelets are sporting long hair these days. Fellow OSU LBs Carpenter and Schlegel, and Adam Morrison of Gonzaga, and Shockey.
