As far as Ward, I think he has conducted himself as a professional and shuns the thug facade. I think some one here said his father is white. I gotta look into it.
That loss by Fedor was wierd. I don't follow the MMA as much as some of you but if you have to lose that is the way to do it. Getting the TFKO is the worst.
DixieDestroyer said:Werdum is the best BJJ (HW) player in the world...bar none. Fedor got over-zealous & overly relied on his G&P. He should have kept it standing & not gone to the mat so soon. This win was a bit of a fluke, as Fedor would win 9 of 10 times against Werdum...it's just last night happened to be that ONE time Werdum could/would beat Fedor.

Just one small error and it can be the end, but for year after year Fedor has not once made such an error. Finally he did it, and he was made to pay.
In the big picture, it is just one tiny blemish in the incredible career of the greatest fighter in the world today.
Liverlips said:"Yes but now those publications that had Fedor as the top P4P guy in the world will instead have Anderson Silva as the top guy. I know many already had Silva ahead of Fedor but this will just give them more reason."
More likely, GSP, another great white fighter.
Cheer up guys, whites hold 4 of the 5 belts in the UFC and we still dominate. MMA is not like boxing and there are just so many ways to lose that it is impossible to go undefeated. As noted, Werdum is the best BJJ practitioner in MMA so he did have a great shot if the fight went to the ground.
Also, gotta say this - Fedor is part of a passing generation in MMA. He is maybe the best of all time but is a little too small for a modern heavyweight.
Also, this will gin up the rematch which Fedor will win. And at least he didn't lose to a black (like Overeem who is THE favorite of the Drunk (and gay) White Fans because of his steroid addled physique).

Outboxed by Arlovski, busted up nose against Rogers, that Japanese guy who put him on queer street briefly, Randleman dropping him on his head, Cro Cop landing some good shots, grabbing the ropes to prevent a takedown by Lindland. For me, that's his mystique: this normal looking guy going up against usually much bigger opponents, getting in trouble, not always looking great, but always finding a way to win. This time he didn't get the win. Statistically, it had to happen eventually. Everybody loses in MMA.
True, but he has also had spectacular wins as well as dominant ones.JD074 said:Fedor gets in minor trouble in a lot of his fights.
