The jock-sniffers celebrated Billy Wagner's injury and said that the Mets didn't need him anyway. Also, he was castigated for somehow insulting the Latino Met players...

Well, the Mets have been struggling, and they lost today to the lowly Nats. Even if they make the post-season, they probably won't go far.

Since the Dodgers' acquired Greg Maddux, and also have Billingsley, Lowe, etc -- I don't mind them so much. Pitching is THAT important, and they've had some very good pitching. Pitching will almost certainly determine their fate.

Things are certainly getting interesting.

Astros' got rid of Cecil Cooper. The Rockies' look to be playoff bound.

The Red Sox are in the postseason.

Don't worry Deadlift, I'm still a fan of baseball even though fottball season is here. The only thing better than playoff baseball is playoff hockey, in my book.

I'm working on a team-by-team rundown of the playoff-bound MLB teams, and should have it up soon.

Rooting for the Rockies and the Red Sox. Hate the Angels, Tigers(if they get in) and Yankees from a caste perspective.
