NFL Week 8 2008

Now that Jacksonville has been forced to use Jones heavily and Matt is taking advantage, there should be free agent interest in him after the season (unless he signed a 5 year contract in '05). He could be tremendous on a team with a dynamic passing attack run by a quarterback who can make all the throws.

With Jax, Jones is used mainly as a possession receiver who specializes in getting first downs on third and long. It's as confining as only using Randy Moss or Brandon Marshall that way. Jones should be used all over the field, especially on plays where he can use his speed and running ability after the catch. He's a brilliant runner; anyone who doesn't believe it or has forgotten should check out some of his YouTube videos from his Arkansas days.

I wasn't aware Jones was facing a suspension. Even a two game suspension would put a big dent in his chances of gaining 1000 yards. He's almost halfway there with 455 yards already. With 9 games to go he would have to average approximately 60 yards a game. With a two game suspension that goes up to 77 yards a game average. With a 3 game suspension he would need to average 90 yards a game.

Back to Kevin Walter -- it was great to see him have a 2 TD game against the team that never considered him to be more than a special teams demon and bottom feeding WR. It was even better that the second touchdown came about because one of the Bengals' affletes made a stupid play.

Walter now has 5 TDs, one more than he had all of last season. With 363 receiving yards he has a shot at 1,000 but not a good one because of the way Andre Johnson is being thrown to.

yeah, A. Johnson came on after a lazy beginning of the season. barring injury Kevin won't get a 1k yards, but you never know. he can easily get 800 plus 8 scores, which is quite good for a clear number 2 receiver (plus Owen getting a lot of passes thrown his way)

It's funny if he really was copying Conan instead trying to be a typical wigger. Other than that the dance looked like a typical black dance. Funny how the announcers suddenly didn't like dancing in the end zone when a white player did it. Could there be a double standard??? Hmmmmmm....
