The announcers for the Hawks/Rams game mentioned that TE Randy McMichael did his own Leaonard Leep to gain a few xtra yards on a play. They also mentioned that Leonard was inactive for the game.

The announcers are picking apart S Jackson and his stutter running style and how ineffective it can be.

Looks like the Rams are going 0-3, I had hopes Leonard would see more carries as the season progressed. Looks like he wont even get a chance to play for awhile if ever.

It was good to see Dave Tollefson on the field for the Giants today. He was, after all, the rightful backup to Osi Umenyiora. Gave a solid effort.

Dan Klecko also saw significant time today. I'd say he split close to 50% of the snaps. Jim Johnson really likes him on passing downs, he's really quick.

Linehan may not make it to the bye week if this keeps up. Steven Jackson is not the hyped of superman RB that he was made out to be. He is good back under the right conditions, but at times he doesn't run like a big back of his stature should. There is no reason at all why Leonard should not be getting some carries when Jackson is failing to be effective, and Pittman and Minor are such good a good change of pace that they have been given a grand total of 2 carries between them in 3 games.

I am starting to think that Linehan has a personal grudge against Leonard, and I too am starting to believe that he will never get a chance until Linehan is gone.

Yes it was absolutely disgusting. The fact that the Steelers have arguably one of the best QB's in the NFL in Big Ben, and their sumo line does so little to protect him is pathetic. His career is gonna be cut in half if they don't start protecting him or he doesn't get out of Pittsburgh first.

Jackson stats for today were 66 yards on 23 carres with a longest of 8 now whilst i conceed a back needs a half decent o lone in fornt him good backs make something happen

Jackson ,Pittman and minor are gving the rams Nothing that leonard couldnt (hell we all know that he cold give more) but linehan has got a case of casteitis and thinks he needs afleetes to win games the two best players on the rams to day were Carriker and Long (two players that the DW rams fans like to blame for the Defences short comings)

if the rams had a few more white guys we may have not been in this mess in the first place

Not sure of the stats, but Eagles MLB Stewart Bradley had a whale of a game. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can see him as a future Pro-Bowler. Anyone here who's seen him play might agree.

AJ Hawk is an absolute machine. It seems he's making every open-field tackle tonight for the Pack. Jordy Nelson is also on the field for a lot of snaps, albeit not being thrown to. Baby steps...

Chris Cooley looked sharp too. I think he's one of the most athletic men in the NFL, as the Redskins use him in just about every way imagineable. Running screens, slot, split, backfield. What a tremendous player.

i watched the Colts-Jaguars game, and i noticed a couple of things...

1) david garrard is the african prince of dink-dunk passing. he completed 16 passes in the game, and only 6 went to wide receivers. the remaining were dump-offs to backs or short, underneath throws to tight ends.

Matt Jones was the only wide receiver to catch a ball until the last series of the game. Jones had 4 for 32, all of which came on 3rd down and resulted in 1st downs. however, garrard didn't have a pass attempt down the field to Jones the entire game!

in fact, those 4 passes to Jones were the only balls that were sent his way in the whole contest. can you say stupid?

2) Matt Giordano hardly played at all, yet the Colts' safety tandem of the "phenomenal" melvin bullitt and antoine bethea managed to be just far enough out of position all game long to come in at the end of one of the 45 rushes by the Jaguars' tailback tandem and make a few tackles. they were a huge part of the reason Jacksonville running backs ran for 228 yards.

absolutely sickening safety play, yet Giordano only played a couple of defensive snaps.

Jordy Nelson finished the game with 4 catches for 42 yards. It's too bad, he almost had a long one there right at the end to convert on third down with time expiring. The throw was high and he couldn't pull it in. But still, looks like Rodgers is starting to look his way a bit!

JC you are 100% correct about David Garrard. He is the ultimate dink and dunker and that is why Matt Jones is a horrible fit for Jacksonville. I compared it recently to Randy Moss's current situation in New England. I truly think Matt Jones could be a Terrell Owens/ Randy Moss type player in the right offense. The guy has so much size, strength and speed. He would be uncoverable on deep fades/ stop and gos/ posts/ deep gos etc. if he could improve his hands a bit. The guy has so much talent. MJ, please get out of Blacksonville!

Garrard's productivity has regressed with the team's troubled o-line. He's looking a lot more like the standard issue black QB now -- just 167 yards today, no TD passes and one interception.

did anyone else see that the sumo-playing-quarterback for the Raiders only attempted 4 passes in the second half? one, a touchdown, was a short pass to Higgins who beat two defenders to the ball then outran the Buffalo secondary for 84 yards. somehow long run was all due to russell's "natural talent." a direct quote by the announcers!

counter that with the clutch performance of the Bills more "svelte," and dare i say more athletic, qb who played from behind. Edwards managed to earn a BIG win by throwing the ball rather than handing it off and somehow "leading his team to victory" with his mysterious and non-quantifiable black-leadership.

Nothing was worse this week than the Steelers black linemen not pass blocking for Roethlisberger. The tackle play was so bad that they should not get their game checks. They gave up 9 sacks.

Mike Tomlin has no idea what he is doing when it comes to the draft.

Nobody here at castefootball is reporting on this story, but Mike Tomlin's second round draft pick, wide receiver Limas Sweed, has been inactive for 3 straight games because, get this, he's unable to play at an NFL level. You read that correctly - Tomlin has deactivated him on purpose, after drafting him in the second round, because he has discovered the guy literally cannot handle the speed and power of the NFL game. He is physically unable to play a snap because he sucks so bad.

You can't make this stuff up. The Negro Football League never fails to amaze.

How about Robert Meachem the first round draft pick of the Saints last year. He was inactive for every single game in '07 and then again for the first game in '08! Amazing, and that was even after making some nice plays in preseason games this summer, to the point that he was a major "sleeper" in fantasy football circles. He must have the IQ of a marble. It was only after Colston got hurt that Meachem was finally activated for a regular season game last week.

Jimmy, I saw some of the Raiders game and Russell looks slow. He might get faster if he lost some weight, but he'll never be running for big gains. He's far too slow and not nearly athletic enough to scramble.

They just about all seem to lack rhythm and smoothness when they throw, not to mention acceptable accuracy. Successfully accomplishing the most basic of throws often elicits excited exhortations of approval from the Caste clown announcers. Warren Moon and McNabb to an extent are the only black QBs who could consistently throw a nice ball, and McNabb often is erratic.


Lack of hand-eye coordination is blacks' biggest athletic deficiency, but to mention it is taboo and if someone did they would instantly be branded as "racist" for making an accurate observation.
