Four games on tonight that will give our white brethren a chance to shine, I hope. The game I'm interested in is San Diego vs. Chicago, simply to see how the Chargers are going to use Danny Woodhead. He's been practicing all week after being out week 1 with a mystery injury. The fantasy draft folks certainly are fairly high on him:

Jennifer Millman – Danny Woodhead – Ryan Mathews’ injury issues are well documented, so it’s more than probable Danny Woodhead ends up starting at least a few games this season. Even if Mathews magically stays healthy this season, Woodhead will get his share of touches. He was No. 24 among Fantasy RBs in PPR leagues last season in a crowded New England backfield with healthy RBs, and given the additional opportunity presented by an injury-prone Mathews, he could crack the Top 20. And he can be drafted as a RB4 or even RB5 in most leagues.

Adam Ronis – Danny Woodhead – Woodhead was a RB2 in many PPR formats last season. He rushed for 301 yards on 76 carries with four TDs, and caught 40 passes for 446 yards with three TDs. Woodhead also had a good season in 2010 with 97 carries for 547 yards with five TDs and 34 catches for 379 yards with a TD. The Chargers have indicated Woodhead will be the third-down back and Ryan Mathews’ durability is a big question mark. With a new head coach in Mike McCoy who has no ties to Mathews, Woodhead could play more snaps than many think. Woodhead will go cheaply in drafts and since no one believes he can be a lead back, he will be passed on. Woodhead has already proven he can be valuable in a limited role.

Tom McFeeley – Danny Woodhead – Yes, we know everyone who leaves the Patriots become Fantasy dust, but he provides really solid numbers for PPR leagues. Last season he caught 40 passes for 446 yards. He rushed for less than 400 yards, but did score seven times. Those points add up and he’s a stash pick in your draft but he’ll play his way into flex relevance.

I hope that Woodhead sits tonight or has very limited carries since he has already got his spot on the team. What i really want to see is Zach Line get some carries or at least a few passes after the long TD last week.

Foles threw a pick, needs to throw the ball away next time he gets a bad snap.

Chris Conte the white Bears safety just picked off Phillip Rivers. Made a great last minute adjustment after it was tipped. Commentator is claiming the ball touched the ground before he had control but I disagree, ball looked securely in his grip.

And Cutler throws an int straight back to SD....lol

Shea McLelland blows right by a Chargers sumo OT to cause a turnover.

Vick had a big run but was slow to get up. McCoy scored a TD on the next play, could swear Vick was trying to hide a limp on his way to the sidelines.

The beat goes on.......Bears/Chargers closing out the first half and Woodhead is non-existent......it's all a big joke. Two of the best White RBs in a generation playing behind the best RB in a generation in Minnesota........who can question why they don't get carries?.....Hillis and Leonard stacked back to back at TB.......it just gets old how the NFL can continue to create scenarios to keep White RBs from playing

I don't know why you would want Woodhead out there in the 2nd preseason game when he just got back on the practice field from an undisclosed injury. It wasn't long ago he got a cheap shot from a scrub that didn't even make into the league during preseason.

Hillis got 2 cheap shots to the knees. The only problem is he has to play to earn a spot. Woodhead has a spot locked. Ryan Matthews who is fragile and not good in the passing game pass protecting (The Chargers could have taken Gerhart, who was a bigger, non injury prone version of Matthews) but didn't. Matthews never was healthy in college, not going to change now. An old Ronnie Brown and nothing after that, just Woodhead, I think they want to keep him in good health.

I mean our guys are always going to have to worry about cheap shots, but its worse in preseason. Less people watch it, black players on the bubble with more resentment of White players etc.

Yep....I'm pretty sure Danny won't get any reps in preseason......but will get considerable reps week 1......that's generally how it works out for White RBs.....

if you want to bet on it, go ahead. Woodhead has gotten a ton of good press, that usually doesn't happen to White rbs, it always about what they lack and what they have to prove. The Chargers have said nothing but positive things about Woodhead and never said he had to prove jack. He's got at least a 3rd down role locked down if healthy. He literally just started practicing a few days ago. You don't put those guys in the game unless they are fighting for a roster spot. Woodhead isn't. Starters don't play that much until 3rd preseason game regardless anyway. If he is healthy then he will play next week.

Now compare Woodhead's situation to Hillis, who needs to let his knee recover no matter how minor it is, and all the talk is that HE HAS TO PLAY to make the team.

Good things do happen sometimes. How much did Woodhead play in the 2010 preseason? Come to think of it Hillis didn't play that much that preseason either, there was the awesome run he had against the Rams where he broke like 8 tackles and a few passes caught but other guys got the bulk.

Woodhead was out for over a week and came back this Monday, since nothing was said about what was wrong, I don't even know if he was 100 percent on Monday.

I completely agree with dwid on this one. Danny's position on the team is locked. I'm sure that the coaches held him out because of his short time at practice. I suspect that the last two weeks, when they keep the first team offenses out on the field for the entire first half, we'll see plenty of Woodhead. As for the late 2nd quarter-on in last night's game, it was all second, third, and fourth team offense players, no way I'd want to see Danny out there with them. Let "Fozzie" get beat on.

It's very early in the Bills vs Vikings Game but Toby has run the ball 6 times for 23 yards so far. I hope he gets to play the whole first half. Kolb is playing for the Bills.

In the Pats/Bucs Games, Brady is looking good. He has hit Danny Amendola three times already and also connected with Edleman. They are still fun to watch. Looking forward to seeing Peyton Hillis soon and Tebow time in the 2nd half. It's gonna be a fun game for preseason.

Toby is running well so far and looks like Chris Hogan is a Bill now.I really hope they give Line a few carries or at least a few passes tonight.Just flipped back to the NE/Tampa game and noted that if Doug Martin keeps trying to block LBs like that he is gonna get hurt.Might be the only way for Hillis and Leonard to get carries.

Brady is amazing. He hit 7 for 7 on his first drive and a td to Amendola. Then a two point conversion to Sudfield. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are just so much better than anyone else. Only Rogers and Brees can come remotely close.

Martin got his bell rung and came out,Hillis came in then got pulled back out for the rookie James before the play started.WTF?

Hillis's first two carries were for a loss and tackled at the line.Third carry was a good one where it got blown dead because he refused to be taken down.Forth was a good carry but called back due to holding and then a good 9 yard run.James back in now.

No kidding,Sudfeld wants a job and from the looks of it he could easily fill in Aaron Hernandez's old roll.I really wish they would let Mallett show off his cannon and sling one deep.

How many times do we see that- a good gain by a white RB, wiped out by a penalty? Hmm.

The black quarterback madness continues. E.J. Manuel led the Bills right down the field for a TD, after Kolb struggled. Kolb has no chance to start. Again, the black quarterback completed these little passes, that somehow the Ponders (who struggled mightily again and may end up benched for woeful Matt Cassel), Gabbarts and Lockers have poor completion percentages and turn the ball over. And two things are evident- the receivers who drop half the passes from white QBs catch the ones thrown by black quarterbacks. The reverse holds true for black DBs- they seem to have better hands when a white QB throws the ball.

All they need is for a few of these magical black quarterbacks to succeed. And with as many that are playing now, and more on the way, it's inevitable that some will do well. The problem is the young white QBs who aren't doing well, are always on a short leash, and won't get many more chances (Ponder, Locker, Gabbart, Kolb).

Also, can someone tell me how Austin Collie is on the roster bubble, with THAT putrid receiving corps? He should be an automatic starter. The NFL is completely ridiculous.

The main problems with the young white QBs seems to be that they are not allowed to run these read-option/spread offenses even when they are perfect for that type of offense.Correct me if i'm wrong somebody but isn't Locker one of the fastest QBs in the league based on 40 times?

Nice seven yarder for Hillis.

And now Glennon completes a long pass, on the heels of a pick 6 he threw, and they call it back on a penalty. I'm paranoid, but this stuff happens all the time, if you watch closely.

And I don't watch much of these preseason games, so who knows how often this happens? A few penalties in the right spots can make those stats look entirely different. Let me know, for instance, when you see a TD or long throw from a black quarterback called back.

Watching Tebow. It's just incredible. No matter what, he can't even have one game where he completes over 50% of his passes. And now a big run by Tebow, and here comes the penalty flag. Again, notice when these penalties are called in preseason games. They do affect stats, and seem to adversely impact white players.

The only black QB I've seen taking risky throws this preseason is Vick. That's why these new black QB don't throw picks, because their throws are easy throws.
