When the new u-18 200m WR holder first joined an athletics club she was, despite obviously being very fast, “shoved into the middle distance group", I wonder why...

Outstanding article. How many times do our boys and girls get slotted into different areas of a sports or even to another sport? Stereotypes are horrible. We need coaches from all levels
of sports to quit seeing color. Luckily they found Amy Hunt before she disapeared like countless kids do. For most of them we will never know how could they could have become. So glad
that Amy has a chance. I like that she is very smart and also a musician playing the Cello. Very cool.

Good for her. Ignore the naysayers and to heck with the killjoys in life. Sounds like that's what she has done.

Yes indeed ...Amy hunt is a future world class and Olympic champion ..2024 or 2028 ...this young lady has it all .....unbelievably naturally talented ....fast and tall ...magical combination ....aka lemaitre and boling .......and her coach is a clever old fox ..who understands well the ways of athletics in our present world ...and the kid is well minded by those around her ...and she has her head screwed on as well as being a modest young lady with a real steely competitive attitutude ....

I don't remember seeing this before but, although she doesn't have the experience or strength or acceleration of the big 3 in this race, Amy shows great speed as the distance increases
