Gallick's win was a big one. He beat Teyon Ware, who beat him last year for the championship.

Cherrington beat a black guy, too.

Rosholt beat a black guy.

Awesome! 10 for 10! And 3 for 3 against black wrestlers. This is so great. Last year was so depressing. Wrestling is one of the ultimate sports, and it felt like it was slipping away. The white wrestlers really got it done this year. Kudos to all of them.Edited by: JD074

To be realistic about, blacks CAN wrestle, despite the law of averages and who holds the weight-lifting record. Unfortunately, while blacks are encouraged to think they can be Gods in every sport they play, the reverse correlorry, that Whites can run with a football, is not explored.

YES! As WS said it does seem like more blacks are beginning to get interested in wrestling. But as the results from the NCAA's point out; the ole white devil isn't going anywhere for awhile.

Unlike what most people think many blacks wrestle. You know all those inner city schools who do you think is on those wrestiling teams. With that being said it awsome that we swept the tourney.

I once went on Ask Dan Gable online and a black kid asked if blacks had a disadvantage in wrestling because they burned out quicker. Gable simply said that one should adjust their workout based on their short-twitch fast-twitch muscle fibers. He gave an officially indifferent response, but still unfortunately implied that blacks were faster.
