Sheptock looks white to me.

Yes that was a typo. Sheptock's father used to go to a lot of the events in my hometown of Bethlehem, PA.

Heflin got robbed naturally. I knew a stall point would be given and he clearly had that takedown at the end. Damn two black champs in a row. Oh well.

On the plus side though. This is Ruth last year, and Cox will have a though challenge against upcoming freshman Kyle Snynder. Snyder has been dominating people on the international level, while most people think he will go straight to the Olympic training team. Snynder wrestles at, but I think 197 would be his best weight class. It should be noted that Heflin wrestled at 170 last year, and cox barely one that match.

Yeah. Besides as a whole wrestling is very, very white. A few black champs here and there isn't a big deal. Great tournament though I highly recommend for people to learn a little about wrestling and how to score it. Great sport that requires almost every aspect of athletics.

Yes sir scroat! We don't cover wrestling here enough. I was able to watch a few matches, I really enjoyed the ones I was able to see. I wish I had more time to cover it here on CF.

For you Ohio/Pennsylvania, NY, etc. guys, I took my sons to Ohio and they competed in the Ohio Tournament of Champions for 7 year olds to high school. We were only able to go up a couple of times and it was a great tournament. Lots of competitors from Ohio/PENN./NY. area, including 3 time NCAA champion Logan Stieber. It's great seeing guys make it to that level from where they were as 5th and 6th graders.

Congratulations Logan Stieber and to the all other champions!

What's great about wrestling, that I've noticed that you don't see in college basketball, is that when you go to these wrestling tournaments, either College or high school in mid-west states the audience is composed mostly of former wrestlers or coaches. They know what they are talking about and they don't go around talking trash. It's a lot like high school football in Texas.
Last night my old high school coach went to the championship, and he ended up meeting people like Johnny Hendrix, Ed Ruth, David Taylor, Kale Sanderson, and several other legends of wrestling.
Now it could people that the popularity of wrestling is much lower then that of college basketball, but i prefer that kind of environment over an arena of DWF hating on white players.
I was at a bar last night and overheard two white college aged players blasting Sam Dekker from Wisconsin. I don't watch college basketball much anymore, but I knew Dekker was white, and even if I didn't know the way they described him I would have gotten a sense that he was white.
