McConnell is so much more efficient than Simmons, and the 76ers play far better as a team with him on the court. If McConnell had the chance to start and log significant minutes he could be the new John Stockton, but I think Stockton himself would ride pine in today's era, and probably, like McConnell, wouldn't have even been drafted.

Excellent point. McConnell is a way better shooter than Simons and just as good a ball handler and passer. He isn't as good a rebounder but who needs a point guard to pull down boards? McConnell has elite quickness and gives other players fits with his in your face defense. He should be a starter and hopefully will get a chance somewhere else down the road. There is no way Phily is going to bench a potential rookie of the year and media darling. Simons seems like a descent kid but I want McConnell to get
a chance on another team as he is too good to sit all the time!

As a Philly fan it sickens me what this idiot coach has done in this series. McConnell has been the best player every tinehe comes in the game...we take the lead back every time he comes in. Then he pulls him out when we need him most!! Infuriating! Simmons is a bum!
 
Hats off to TJ McConnell who Finally gets the start tonight! He was magnificent scoring 19 and all over the place on defense. Too bad the coach just figured this out. They got the win tonight. Hopefully TJ starts the rest of the way!
 
Just tuned in to watch Embiid chuck up 3 shots in a row, horrible shot selection. Even took a 3 early in the shot clock, guy doesn't even shoot 33%.
 
Awesome pass by Simmons, throws it all the way down the court to two Celtics. Who was he even throwing it to?

It would be great if a team would make a move for McConnell and start him as a PG. Most of the time he was out there that I watched Simmons played PG and he played SG, Redick being moved to SF, which doesn't seem like an optimal lineup. Personally if I was the 76ers GM I'd deal Simmons at high value for a vet SF, or big man or top pick, plus bench depth, and start McConnell.
 
Embiid and Simmons are so overrated! They cost us this series. The sixers played so much better before Embiid came back from the injury.

They played better as a team without him. And Simmons should not be handling the ball. It should have been McConnell and Bellinelli.
Simmons had the worst +/- (-13), while McConnell had +3
But the media has its story line, which is Embiid and Simmons are the 76ers.
 
Joel Embiid with a beautiful charge that wasn't called against Baynes and then shows his superior athleticism with a brick 6" layup.

PS Baynes is a brick wall down low, the idiotic media has a fetish with dunks but when the game was on the line Baynes denied Embiid position down low and Boston cemented the series win.

Utterly predictable post series analysis by Cris Carter this morning about the Sixers: “Sixers need to get more athletic. Belinelli, Redick and McConnell can’t guard anybody.” Scapegoating the White players when the two “superstars”, Embiid and Simmons both have glaring flaws.

Utterly predictable is right! Anytime cuck media calls for "more athleticism" automatically means more affletes. Green Bay media is doing same thing right now to Jake Ryan. Calling for his head because they drafted a real affletic LB in 3rd rd...
 
I was pleasantly surprised on the post game show last night, Kenny Smith said that Embiid and Simmons were both exposed as having holes in their games. 'As good as they are, they are not good enough'. Something to that effect. And he's right.
Simmons had a +/- of -78! for the Series.
And I read that Embiid is 0 for 10 in the post season when taking the game winning or game tying shot. Plus he has bad shot selection and is too myopic in the paint.
Good to see that some people out there are seeing the same things we are.

I have no dog in this fight but after JR Smith grabbed a rebound with less than 4 seconds left he didn't know the score and thought Cleveland could dribble out the win when the game was tied. Smith cost Cleveland a potential game winning shot and predictably the Warriors blew out Cleveland in overtime.

If I was the Cleveland coach he would be riding the pine for game 2.....

Typical ghetto NBA street ball with no fundamentals due to the low IQ players. I’ll pass on this finals.
 
Since the Stanley Cup Finals are not on tonight I am actually going to watch Game 2 of the NBA finals. I am only watching to see what Kevin Love and Kyle Korver do. Love had 21 points and 13 boards in Game 1 before JR Smith threw the game away with his spectacularly stupid mistake at the end, though according to him he "knew the game was tied."
 
Just watched a few minutes of the opening of game 2. Man, it is TOTALLY undisciplined ghetto ball! And this is the Finals... unbelievable!

I'm gonna watch some more, but this is very telling. Launching threes for days, no defense to speak of... Hully Gully all the way. What a degraded game the NBA has become...

Yes it really is. Some of the fouls that used to be called and no longer are called are just ridiculous.

JR Smith was at the line and the Golden State fans were chanting "M-V-P! M-V-P!" Hilarious .

Seems like the Cavs are giving Korver less PT in the Finals so far, lets hope that changes... JR Smith who made that boneheaded play in game 1 is cutting into Korvers mins.
Stupid decision by the Cavs as Korver has started the majority of the playoffs and is 3rd behind only James, and Love for most playoff points this post-season.
At least Love is playing at all-star level!
As for Golden State, **** them they dont even play their lone white Zaza Pachulia any more.
 
JR Smith is really not very good. He has missed several wide open threes in the first half. Korver probably would have made those.

Yes, the whole NBA production, the teams, the league, the TV network, commercials, everything has gotten so negrophilic, it isn't worth watching at all anymore unless its a team like the 76ers. The ABC halftime crew is three negro males and one white blonde woman. No wonder the NBA's ratings just keep getting worse.

I've seen again tonight why I never watch network talmadvision. I watch Grit TV, MeTv, and Comet (rarely). That's it. I probably would be declared a cave dweller by the NWO. I am, and proud of it in this regard.
