It's heartening to see how few people care about the NBA lockout. This is in stark contrast to the NFL lockout, which was treated like the end of the world by the media and DWFs. Just further proof that the NBA is a "niche" league, more so than the NHL. Without the corporate media PR machine, the NFL would be the only professional sports league with widespread popularity. I would rank the NHL second to the NFL when it comes to the size and passion of its fan base, albeit considerably behind America's secular religion (and also behind college football and NASCAR); even MLB has become much more of a media-propped up sport than it used to be.

I really wish the NBA would just go away and never come back. I stopped watching it regularly in the late 90's. I'll sometimes watch a game these days if Nowitzki or another white star is playing. The fact that only around 10 percent of the players these days are American whites is astonishing. The NBA lost a big part of it's fan base in the 90's.

I know its nowhere near an accurate sample of the popularity of each respective league, but I found it interesting the amount of "fans" / "likes" each respective league has on facebook. I would have thought that the nfl would be up there...but hey, there are numerous bruthas and wiggers on the site...

I used to like basketball and it just got boring. Every dunk has been done ad nauseum and every 3 point at the buzzer to win a game has been done. I think I prefer the NHL a thousand more times than the NBA because when a hockey player scores it only happens 5 or 6 times a game. When you see a player in the NBA hit a jump shot it happens almost once a minute. Its just boring to me.

I grew up in the north so followed hockey when I was a kid. Then I went over 20 years not really caring about the NHL but got back in to it a few years ago when I discovered the caste system in the NBA and NFL.

Now I really like hockey all over again. It is an exciting sport and my adopted hometown team (the Caps) is one of the best and people here are bandwagon fans looking for a winner after years of futility with the Skins, Wizards and Nats.

My question is how long will it take for the union to cave in. So many stupid street people make up the rank and file of the union. It's not a coincidence that most of the highest profile bankruptcy cases of athletes are NBA players.

Free Tickets to Game 3 WNBA Finals in Atlanta - Dream Ticket Office

The Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks have all bought tix for fans to support the Dream in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Friday night at Philips Arena! Starting at 10 am tomorrow, fans can call the Dream office at 877-977-7729 to get free tix courtsey of our ATL sports teams! Tix distributed on first come, first serve basis. #atlsports #runwiththedream

It's funny, sometimes I go over to ESPN.com and read the comments that the DWF's and their black brothers leave after articles. They love to pound the WNBA, claiming it's garbage and it's only around because it's been propped up by the NBA. They are correct, for the most part, as the league is total crap and in any sane world it would've been defunct 10 years ago. But the league marches on because:

1) Players salaries are so low -- min salary is about 35K, max salary (for the mega stars) is 100K

2) ESPN props up this league, full of black lesbians, by paying the teams enough to cover most of their player salaries, even though the rating suck -- Nathan's hotdog eating contest gets 7 times the WNBA ratings.

3) Most important, I think, is the NBA strong arms advertisers and local business' into supporting these WNBA teams. WNBA teams also give away tons of tickets for free (in addition to coporate charity buys), just so the arenas look full on TV. Take away the corporate charity buys and freebies, the WNBA's average attendence would be closer to 1,000 to 2,000 fans per game in most cities, as opposed to the 7,000 to 10,000 they report, I believe.

Why does this matter for the NBA????

Well, while the salaries are much higher in the NBA (5 mill ave.), my guess is this league (like the WNBA) has been propped up big time by ESPN/ABC's dollars and corporate welfare -- Stern and his henchmen going in and strong-arming local fortune 500 companies to pay for these over priced tickets. After all, what company wants to look racist by not paying for over-inflated sky boxes and courtside seats to see the all black Clippers, Pistons, 76ers, Wizards, Bobcats, Cavaliers or Thunder?

Here's my guess: If it were not for corporate charity buys and free tickets given out, most NBA teams would average about 7,000k & 10,000K fans per game (like they did in the mid 80's), as opposed to the 15,000 to 18,000 most announce these days. The Knicks, Bulls and Lakers, who have thousands of wealthy Jewish season ticket holders, are likely the only teams that would draw well if fans had to pay for all their tickets.

Remember too that the announced attendance for NBA games is the total of tickets sold and given away, not the actual number of people attending, which in many cases is far less than the announced crowd.

I remember in the '60s and '70s when NBA attendance was often just several thousand in many cities. MLB was that way also. When I followed baseball closely I used to know every team's attendance figures; the Braves in particular stick in my mind as each September when school started and Atlanta was out of the race, the Braves would draw announced crowds of under 1,000, sometimes as low as a few hundred.

The NHL also used to have much smaller crowds in many cities than now. It's the influx of corporate support that has inflated attendance figures over the past 25 years in professional sports, moreso with the NBA and MLB than the NHL, which is disliked and decried as a "niche" sport because so few blacks and non-Whites can play hockey at a high level. TV and Corporate America have a huge stake in propping up bread and circuses in this lost society, which few still comprehend. They also have a huge stake in affirmative action and the absurd myth of the black super-athlete as part of the globalist agenda to force multiculturalism and deracination on White Americans.

I remember 15 years ago when I was in high school they would always give away Nets tickets. To us kids it always made our day. The Nets are still giving away their tickets maybe more so now.

Don, that's a great job of summerizing my long-winded WNBA post. The glorified, lezzy summer-league is basically just a train wreck propped up by the Marxists at ESPN and all the corporations David Stern, Andrew Silver and all the others at the NBA's offices shake down....My reason for posting it, was to show that the NBA isn't that much better than the WNBA. Take away all the TV hype and Corporate America and the attendance for so many of these "great NBA franchises" would probably be the same as it was in 1985, when 10,000 was a good crowd in most cities for a big games?

WA 33, the all black NY Liberty (11 Hoodrats) acknowledge they give away 1,000's of free tix each game. Wouldn't surprise me if the Nets still do this, as no sane person in their right mind would spend a few hundred a night to bring their family or friends to a NBA game in this economy.

****

Speaking of the WNBA, I was watching a bit of the Minnesota Wild game tonight on NHL Center Ice. After the second period, they showed a few seconds of video from the Lynx' championship parade and claimed there was an 'amazing turnout' .. Well, I went to WNBA.com to download the video -- and what a joke! My guess is a few thousand hardcore lesbians and gay men (their season ticket base) showed up with their nieces and nephews...the rest look like corporate employees, who could care less about the team, but were given a few hrs. off by their Marxist bosses in order to stand outside and wave to the team as they went by in cars.

Yes, the Nets still give away those tickets but even then the fans don't show. I'll admit it was cool during high school to get the tickets and I could also watch Keith Van Horn play. I was still into the NBA then so all was well.

Truthteller, I'm mildly surprised that the NY Liberty have an all black team. I remember a few years ago they had a couple of whites, one that come to mind is Becky Hammon. I've noticed the WNBA has gotten a bit darker in recent years as well. It must kill the sistahs that Lauren Jackson is considered the best player in the league by many.

WA 33, the league has gotten quite dark in recent years and most of the remaining white stars (i.e. Hammon & Jackson) are over 30 so things will get worse, if that's possible? In 2001, for example, of the top 14 picks, 10 where white**, which is nothing short of unbelievable to me.

Let me just note this to be very clear: I'm not a WNBA fan at all. I rarely watch games and could care less if this league folds -- although it won't, because the progressives need it to work. But back in the summer of 2009, about the same time I signed up at CF, I decided to track the racial makeup of this league out of sheer curiosity. I then went back and did some research and I was astounded to find that the league used to be much more popular (televised on three networks, more tix sold to families, not freebies) and significantly more white friendly from 1997 (first year) up until around 2004, when the lezzy league started going much more Caste and the European woman started leaving in droves.

To me, this is very scary. Why? Most posters here at CF actually believe if the NFL or NBA started attracting less fans and losing more money, they would be forced to have whiter rosters. It makes some sense, right? WNBA debunks this theory. That's what's scary. As the more unpopular the league gets, the less whites girls are being brought in among the 12 remaining teams. Astounding thing, is even while the WNBA is in free-fall popularity wise, ESPN has handed them a fairly nice, long term contract and Corporate sponsors are pouring in (i.e. Boost Mobile) to keep this sad sack league afloat.

I don't see why not Tom. Plenty of teams are losing money and the NBA just isn't very successful anymore. The lacks of white Americans has hurt the game and even the DWF's long for some pale faces on the court.

I'm just sick of todays game. I'd take a league full of Karl Malones, John Stocktons, Clyde Drexlers, and Mark Prices any day over todays thug league.

I don't see the league folding but it will probably have to downsize at some point. Therer are too many teams and most of them just cannot compete. Similar to baseball. The league is so blind though. Even Larry Bird said that the NBA needs more white stars playing the game of basketball. If the NBA wants to grow in popularity, they will need to get back to a far whiter league and get away from the ghetto image that some of the players have. Fans want to watch the Tim Duncan, Grant Hill and Dirk Nowitzki types. Not guys that look like they are out of a street gang. Guys like Jimmer Fredette show just how many white fans still want stars in the game. Wake up NBA and draft some more white talent and put them in positions to be stars and not just rotting away on the bench or undrafted.

No way this league ever folds and I doubt they will even contract (subtract teams), even though they should, as a whole bunch of these can't draw fans without giving away free tickets.

Again, read my WNBA post. That league is a total and utter joke. Only one or two cites (Seattle, perhaps Minnesota?) can even draw 5,000 to 6,000 "real paying customers" in a very short season without having to hand out thousands of free tickets. Yet ESPN and major sponsors keep pouring large sums of cash into it to keep it afloat. The same will happen with the NBA -- ESPN & TNT will continue to overpay to televise the games, even if b-ball's ratings are similar to hockey's for most of the year -- except for the finals, where the NBA ratings spike, mostly due to black viewers watching network TV. Also, sponsors will continue to be strong-armed into buying very expensive seats and advertising with the league. This league simply can't fail, the Marxists won't let. Just like they wont let the WNBA fail.

The reason the owners are currently playing "hardball" with their high-paid idiots, is they realize the economy is going to crap and Fortune 500 companies simply can't keep throwing as much money away to prop up a league very few middle-to-upper class white Americans will pay to watch. As I noted, outside of the Knicks, Lakers, Bulls and a few others, most of these teams are losing tons of money and the situation is getting bleaker by the day.

Billy Hunter and his younger brothers (the players) are actually talking about forming their own league. What a knee slapper (joke), huh? Some 60% of NBA and NFL players are flat broke within 5 years of retiring. Even guys that made over $100 million during their careers -- i.e. Kenny Anderson & Antione Walker -- are now indigent/or on welfare in their 30's. Yet, somehow these "brothas" are silly enough to think they can form a new league and get rid of the "middle men". Like David Stern and these mostly Jewish owners are really going to let their black slaves take away their cash-cow!!!!

Good post, Truthteller. I'm not sure that Seattle and Minnesota are the two WNBA teams that can draw the most fans though. Those are among the smallest, if not the smallest markets. It's the same situation with the NBA though. The Nets are in the largest market and if they can't draw fans in and have to give away tickets then which team can? I supposed the attendance numbers are a bit better across the river for the Knicks but not by much.

I say let it bleed! (The NBA revenue stream, that is!) I don't care if the whole thing collapses.

Thanks WA 33. As far as the WNBA, based on the few times I've check their major fan board in the last 6 months, it seems like Washington and L.A. claim to have the highest attendance figures -- over 10,000. Wash. has a long history of giving away large blocks of tix and not even the DLF's (drunk lesbian fans) buy their claims. Not sure about L.A., but my guess is they also give away tons of free passes.

Seattle and Minnesota announce close to 10K and my guess is they might have actually have decent attendance (compared to the others) because those are very liberal states, with tons of lesbians -- the leagues core fanbase, followed by straight senior citizens. But that's just a guess, based on the fact that you can see large throngs of women and seniors sitting courtside in Seattle. I figure Atlanta and the Liberty must give away tons of tickets, because you only see a small group of white women (lesbians?) sitting close to the court, then very large clusters of black men and black families every where else in the arenas (likely freebies?).

I think the Knicks attendence is legit, as is the Lakers. Both teams, also, make tons of money from local TV and are adored by a large, wealthy group of Jewish season ticket holders, who probably prefer to watch an all black team -- hence the Knicks had no regrets about letting Lee and Gallo go for an overhyped Anthony. Bulls have good crowds too...perhaps the Mavs, the white friendly Jazz and a few others, but most of the league is not so marketable -- hence the NBA claims 23 (of 30) teams are losing money.

David Stern noted on ESPN last night that the players will lose 2 billion, if they sit this season. So the league is drawing in tons of revenue from TV and sponsors....problem is the players think they are 'more popular' than they actually are and don't realize they must take a hard cap because sponsor cash has plummeted and there are not enough sober whites that care about the league (and pay for tickets). Meanwhile, most of their core fans (the gay DWF's/whiggers and blacks) don't have nearly enough money to attend games.

The four-team UFL (United Football League) cancelled its final two regular season games and moved up its championship game two weeks instead because of financial problems. No corporate interest in that league, in stark contrast to the way the NBA and WNBA are lavished with it, as none want to see any threat to the NFL's monopoly over pro football.

Don, I was surprised that the UFL would do that, but it looks like they were skating on thin ice to begin with, considering they lost two teams prior to the (delayed) start of this season -- Hartford & North Florida?

Problem with this league is two-fold, despite the fact that some Marxist hero's are huge investors (Mark Cuban and Nancy Pelosi's husband, I think?)

One, unlike the WNBA, this league serves no purpose in terms of promoting and expanding the reach of the Caste system (in contrast to the old AFL and ABA, which were blacker than the NFL and NBA back in the day). These teams are similarly racially balanced to NFL teams and they're obvious intent from the start was to be an in-season minor league for the NFL. But NFL teams simply have no interest in letting their practice squad guys play in another league and potentially get hurt, which means they wont fund it. I think if this league ran an early spring schedule (Feb, right after the Super Bowl, to April), owners might grudgingly support it and fund it modestly. Which might not be bad for whites such Chad Hall, Chase Reynolds, latter round quarterback prospects (ie Greg McElroy) and others.

Two, once the Marxists at GE bought Versus, this league's goose was cooked. No way NBC Sports will do anything to offend the power brokers in the NFL, as they probably realize ABC could easily steal away their Sunday package, if they piss off the wrong people.

Truthteller, I was watching something on tv the other regarding the Oklahoma Bobcats. Many taxpayers are pissed due to the fact that the 200 million dollar stadium was paid for by taxpayers and the season is in jeopardy. They had some kind of so called expert state that if someone threw those 200 million dollars off a plane and let people catch the bills it would do more for the local economy. I can't argue with that fact because small market teams just have to deal with these types of issues. The only teams I imagine that actually make money are the Knicks and possibly Dallas.
