I can say with a great sense of pride and accomplishment that I have never watched a complete NBA game in my entire life. I can further confirm that since the Bird era I have not found the desire nor inclination to observe more than the fewest clips from post game sports broadcasts. Most of the NBA players frequently mentioned in this forum I have never actually seen. For example, although I have heard of Kobe Bryant, I have never seen him throw a ball or jump on the floor. In all the years that Shaq has played the only time I saw him lumber about was for a few minutes for the U.S. olympic team. On the other hand I have seen Nash very often on TV commercials and on highlight clips.
Try and consider this parallel: if one does not vote than one should not complain and grieve about the state of politics; if one does not agree or outwardly dislikes a sports team or league than one should not watch that sport.
One should not complain about the NBA and then turn around and watch it. If one does not like it, or dislikes an aspect of it, then it stands only to good reason NOT to consume it.
My take on the NBA is that it is run and played by mostly gutter snakes and other reptiles. Because of this I have turned down and declined dozens of free Raptors tickets. Dear to me I hold the phrase: "therefore laugh, and make good cheer, for the Vancouver Grizzlies are no longer here."
