Analysis

So let me begin by stating that I tweaked the scoring system ever so slightly. There is no longer a +3 bonus. It was too subjective to differentiate between a +2 and +3 type player. So overall points will be slightly lower when taking that into consideration. However, it seems alot of teams are up this year and many more fall into the watchable category.

I believe this reflects a fairly White draft as well as a number of foreign Whites joining the league. Also, there are no teams with zero White players like the Clippers and Celtics had for much of last season. Also, there were a few situations through transactions that benefited White players. For example, Miles Plumlee was a 1 point benchwarmer last year. Marcin Gortat was traded to Washington and Plumlee went to Phoenix where he is starting. With his rebounding prowess, he is now a 4 point player. So that trade netted us. Also, Nate Wolters through injury has started and with his dishing talents has gained us a 4 point player. Most of these sort of transactions have thus far been in our favor.

Another positive so far are the Whitest / "watchable" category teams are mostly winning so far. The combined record of these 8 teams is 23-16. Not too shabby.

I haven't changed this but for the Lakers started 4 Whites last night and won. Nash, Blake, Gasol and Kaman. Kaman was previously being used off the bench and Blake will return to a reserve role when Kobe returns but it's nice while it lasts.

Nice list Freethinker. Some good news is that last year according to your start of season report there were 32 white starters and 90 total white players on rosters, and this year the numbers are up to 34 white starters and 99 players, so a nice little bump, especially overall players.

I believe Vitor Favriani of the Celtics starting at Center is white, there was also a white Brazilian drafted Raul Neto? I believe who will be coming over to the NBA shortly, the Thunder drafted outstanding baller Alex Abrines who is still in Europe, but should become a real contributer to the team as a shooting guard/backup PG to Westbrook. I also count Evan Fournier as white. Although part Algerian he is mostly French, not black, and seems to identify as white. The Lopez brothers are considered caste busters here by some and others not. I'm pretty sure they are 1/4 black as is Kris Humphries, but the Lopez brothers (whose dad was a half black Cuban baseball player) appear to be considered "Hispanic" by the caste system and are not labeled as "superior athlete" blacks by casteian DWFs. Jeremy Lin is definitely a caste buster and a good Christian man who I root for.

Unlike the NFL I see the NBA as a league that should be about 45% black, 44% white and 10-12% Asian, Mestizo, Polynesian, Middle Eastern other. Black interest in America, in most states, for pursuing basketball at the high levels slightly surpasses white interest. Also add in the typical 2 inch reach advantage for average sized NBA black players over same sized white ones and looking overall at the picture I see a SLIGHT black advantage at basketball. American football is a race neutral sport between blacks and whites and the NFL should be about 65% white IMO if not even up to 70%.

Bottom Line: Enjoyed your write up a lot Freethinker and the NBA is watchable again. It averages about 3.5 white players on rosters that keep 13-15 players. It's not to where it should be, but certainly much less nauseating than the NFL. I somehow still prefer to watch football b/c I like the game more, but the maltreatment of outstanding whites leaves a much more bitter taste in my mouth when I watch an NFL game than an NBA one.

Freethinker, Me and Jimmy Chitwood did a write up kind of like this a few years ago, but I think your 2 point and 1 point bonuses for white stars was a very creative valuable idea. This kind of write up takes a lot of work so we are all appreciative.

Good news is, I lean toward the odds being higher of the Heat not three-peating than accomplishing that feat. Magic Johnson who is a fair analyst has left the door open for his decision for a few more years, if Bird or Lebron is the greatest small forward of all time. He admitted in comments that Bird was robbed of more good years by his back problems where Lebron went pro right out of H.S. If Lebron gets another championship this year it will seal Lebron in most contemporary fan's minds (I believe Magic's too- as he has to hype current player's as GOAT as an ESPN analyst) that he is the best SF of all time. Let's hope that Dwayne Wade's doesn't have as much gas left in the tank and starts to Ginobilize younger than Manu has and keeps the Heat from three-peating. They are a nauseating team from a diversity perspective despite Lebron's amazing talents.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually got the point system idea from you, just tweaked it a bit. This really is a much better way to find watchable teams. Dallas only has 3 Whites but they are way more enjoyable to watch then a team with 4 or 5 that are all reserves or benchwarmers.

Also, I am probably being generous listing the Lopez twins and Humphries. I guess I have a soft spot for them as they "act White", showing no signs of ghetto behavior. As for Vitor Faverani, he does not pass the eye test for me. But to each his own....

I think most of us will naturally apply an additional +2 to the teams in the "Most Diverse & Watchable" category IF they also have an above .500 record. +3 if they are a playoff team. +4 if they are a realistic contender.

But in the interest of supporting "Diverse" teams, however they are fairing, I wouldn't officially introduce it into the scoring system.

You are being generous with Lopez. Arguably mestizo/mulattos are worse. Advertisements as they are for the manifold "benefits" of mixing. This is not to impugn their character generally but...just saying.

I disagree. They didn't play good tonight but still fought hard on the road losing by only 4 points. They have one of the better records in the western conference and have been in every game with a chance to win. Love is unstopable. They do need more bench scoring althought JJ Barrera had 21 points tonight off the bench. They need to get Sved more involved. He has been out of the lineup as Coach Adelman is sending a message to his players. Either you produce or he will eventually sit you down. This will hopefully get Sved motivated to practice harder and earn minutes again soon. Hummel needs to step it up. Williams and Cunningham have both been dissapointing. They sorely miss Chase Budinger. He will be back soon. If I were Minnesota, I would trade Derick Williams for Jimmer Fredette and a draft pick. Instant offense off the bench and he can be a starter if needed.

The bottom line is it is far too early to panic. They look good overall. Rubio despite his shooting woes continues to make an impact on the game. He had 12 assists tonight and alot of steals to go with great defense. He even blocked a few shots. He has to get to the line more and quit settling for outside shots. The little shots in the paint will build anyones confidence. He should just continue to shoot hundreds of shots everyday and eventually he will get better. He is still a very exciting point guard.

I forgot to add that Kevin Love had 28 points and 10 rebounds on the road tonight. I love this guy!

Yeah, I agree. Rubio just turned 23 years old and has started only 87 games in his 3rd year, the equivalent of 1 full NBA season. Although he's only shooting 36%, maybe we should shouldn't write him off just yet. He does other things like assist, steal, and rebounds well for a guard and shooting over 80% from the free throw line. He obviously needs to shoot better and drive, penetrate and get to the line more.

With more consistent scoring, Rubio could be the piece of the Wolves puzzle need to make a playoff run with of course Love 27/14/game, but also Pekovic, 13/9 game, Martin 24 points/game, and need Barea and Cunningham to play well off the bench.

You are right Freethinker. Favriani doesn't pass the eye test and actually looks more black than Amero-Indian. I think I meant to say Gustavo Ayon who is a pretty white Mexican with some Amero-Indian mixed (on the Magic?). Ayon is basically similar racial makeup to NFL WR Greg Salas who has been treated poorly by the caste system. Ayon being from Mexico would probably identify himself as a mostly white Hispanic. However, Hispanics from Mexico are less ethnocentric for the first couple generations upon moving to the U.S.

Should add that it's something awful about the U.S that races become so resentful of each other. This is due to bad policy and a lack of forgiveness, special rights like quotas and affirmative action that minorities try to cash in making them entitled and making many whites resentful and them political opponents of whites. Add in the wacko media in the U.S that always tries to make white men look bad or even sinister. This is a horrible government that sends young men and women home in body bags in certain wars that we shouldn't have sent a ground invasion (Iraq) and a government that locks the broken or those with anxiety/ or who have been bullied up for minor addictions like marijuana and using escort services while politicians get away with it. Yes, the latter in the privacy of their hotel room (when much worse people like porn stars are being made famous for mocking and wounding the hearts of lonely men while making a fortune off of dealing a sexual frustration sinful addictive product...hard core pornography was just researched to be found as addictive as Heroin and you can ask my cousin about it keeping you a broken hearted prisoner). On Marijuana... the last 3 Presidents smoked weed. This is probably the most hypocritical country in the history of the world going back to the first civilizations.

So that explains why I said that races assimilate better in Canada. Yes, I noticed when I was in the U.S that first generation Africans and Hispanics were good citizens until the rage and race baiting of America corrupted many of them.

On a lighter note I'd be shocked if the T-wolves don't make the playoffs if they stay healthy. Getting Budinger back will help even more. Rubio has everything but scoring efficiency, but still scores more than a point per shot in his career which makes this tolerable. You have to count his 3s and free throws made. I predict RR gets the steals' title this year; breaking Chris Paul's streak.

Goran Dragic, listed as a non-rotation reserve got the start last night for Phoenix last night and responded with 19 points and 10 assists.

He's listed as having started in 5 games and played in 6 total on his individual stat page, but can't find him listed on the NBA stat page yet. Maybe because he hasn't played enough games or minutes. Anyway, he's averaging 14.6 pts. and 5 assists.

Hopefully he'll continue to start for the remainder of the season.

I would like to have seen J.J. get the same minutes as Griffin and see what he could really do!
