Poor interest in NBA before Christmas? Say it isn't so!

I know our resident CF Detroit RedWings fan will disagree with me, but NHL fans are ALL OVER their sport in the October - November - December portion of the schedule. I used to attend the Capitals' Thanksgiving Friday game for years -- always well attended if not sold out. NHL internet sites are HUMMING all through training camp and especially the last few weeks of September, anticipating the start of the season.

Oh -- and I'm SO HAPPY to commandeer the NBA posting space and advocate the White Sport of Pro Hockey. Would be fine with me if the NBA folds and disappears from the scene.:alien:

Here's a name that I don't think we've mentioned before... Greivis Vasquez from Venezuela via Maryland.
He's a point guard for the New Orleans Hornets, and scored 27 pts tonight vs Orlando, plus 8 assists.
Over the past 5 games he is averaging 16 pts and 8.2 assists.
Definitely on the rise and one to keep an eye on.....

Just going through tonight's box scores and I see Vasquez had a big night - 20 pts, 14 assists, 9 rebounds.
This guy is quietly becoming a star.

Meanwhile Danilo Gallinari had 39 pts tonight.
JJ Reddick had 23 pts, Chandler Parsons 24, Jeremy Lin 21, Ginobili 23, Fredette 15 pts so far, thru 3 qtrs.

I'll help you to try and hijack the thread  I think November/December games are fine but the hockey and baseball seasons shouldn't overlap IMHO. I will note that this feeling is not shared amongst other Red Wings fans who would be happy with a 12 month schedule. I just don't get fired up until it's cold out. Hey I grew up playing the game outside. You have to have ice to play outside ya know.

In regards to the NBA. Is there a sport more designed to turn off guys like me? The game is unwatchable. Nearly every player is a tattooed thug looking punk. Why on earth would I want to watch a single minute of that? Even if I wasn't racially aware I see no reason to watch. I do not know a single guy in my age/demographic that is interested in the sport. Now college basketball I can watch. There are usually a few White players and not all the black guys have tattoos and ghetto hairstyles.

And the play is horrendous, constantly feeding the ball into the main scorer who tries to draw a foul on every shot. The foul calling is so subjective and the favoritism toward superstars is ridiculous. Even the announcing and media around the game is filled with the same types of people that are playing it. In other words people I have no interest in listening to. I think the only reason the league survives is because BSPN and associated caste media focus on it so intently that DWF's think they have to follow it.

Howdy Jaxvid! Great to hear your smiling voice again. Happy New Year to you and yours.

I'll turn over the thread to the CF NBA crowd once again. It's a tribute to the amazingly intrepid CF moderators and regulars that ANY discussion about the NBA takes place here at all. Your description of the NBA as tattoed - punk -thug - and most of all BLACK is understated. CF maintains the vigil to document every miserable day of Stern NBA which is a mere extension of the North American prison system. I haven't watched and NBA game in well over twenty years. Haven't gone to the Negro Football League either, in about 12 years.

So, Back to you, intrepid CF NBA documentors! I'm most impressed.

[Looks like the NHL warring factions are dangling a puck in our face again, JaxVid. Should we take the bait?]

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Here in Miami, just about everyone is enamored with the Heat (since they're the only team in this town currently worth a damn... well the Panthers are starting to turn the corner) but I seriously just can't get into the sport. Not only is just about every player a tattooed thug, they can't even wear uniforms that fit properly. Maybe I'm just old school and miss the days of the tight tank tops and short shorts, but these shorts they wear nowadays are ginormous. I may be grasping at straws here complaining about the uniforms but this is another reason why the NBA's hip-hop influence has turned me off as a fan. Hockey seriously needs to come back and soon! I usually try to make it to about 10 Panthers games a year which is about 1/4 of the home schedule. Normally when hockey is on, I forget the NBA even exists but now with this stupid lockout we're stuck hearing about the NBA on every sports show.

Even if you guys hate the nba, please support the Minnesota Timberwolves. These guys are clean cut, play the game the way it's supposed to be played with solid fundamentals. They are very athletic and they have a superstar in Kevin Love. Did I also mention they start an all white starting 5 lineup with many more off the bench. This is the whitest team in the nba since the 60's. Not to mention that they are good. Give them a try until hockey is back and ignore the rest of the teams.

Long time viewer first time poster.

Great site guys. I was just wondering if anyone knows when Chase Budinger will be back and what people here think of Rubio's future as he does not seem to be playing well yet after that devestating injury.

Welcome to the board. Budinger should be out until March. I think Rubio will return to form but it will take lots of time, maybe this entire season.

I'll also add that I updated the initial post due to starters changing so teams re-ranked.

One player I'd briefly like to mention and acknowledge is Orlando center Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic is quickly improving, averaging 11 ppg and 10.5 rbp. He's only 22 years of age so he's someone to watch with all-star potential. He's another European big man who grew up and developed without the hindrance of the Amerikan Caste System. Can everyone imagine how many Amerikan versions of Vucevic, Pekovic and Gortat there would be without racial discrimination and propaganda our young boys face here. It's almost a miracle that we have David Lee and Kevin Love.

Thank you very much.
I recall Kevin Love being hated by most of the so-called pundits white or black. They said he was unathletic and slow. I would agree he is not an athlete in the terms of running and jumping but he is a hell of a rebounder. There can be the sublime when it comes to athleticism and Love has great anticipation and savy to know where the ball is going to wind up after a miss.
As for Rubio I believe he will be a dominant guard for the next decade or so. Even the caste lackeys have raved about his ability to create turnovers and some have even called him the best passer since Larry Bird. I sorely missed his chance to shine with Spain in the Olympics last year.

Greivis Vasquez is getting almost no recognition and no attention, but he is quietly raising his game to a top level.
Currently he is 3rd in the league in assists with 9.1/game.
Also he is averaging 14.3 pts/game which is 2nd to only JJ Reddick (14.6), of all the white NBA guards.

We've talked about the T'wolves starting 5 whites this season for the first time since who knows when (since Kevin Love is out injured, they are starting 4 whites).

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets are giving significant minutes to a rotation of 4 non-blacks: Chandler Parsons F, Omer Asik C, Carlos Delfino F, Jeremy Lin G. Delfino comes off the bench, the others start.
James Hardin rounds out that line-up.

Some good efforts last night:

Tyler Hansbrough - 14 points, 11 boards off the bench
Spencer Hawes - 12 points, 11 boards, 4 assists and 4 blocks in a rare start
Kyle Korver (who's having a nice season) - 17 points, 6 boards
J.J. Redick - 29 points, and is averaging 21 ppg since being inserted as a starter
Nikola Vucevic - 12 points, 11 boards; seems to get a double double every night
Ersan Ilyasova - 18 points, 7 boards
Nikola Pekovic in his return from injury - 17 points, 12 boards
Tiago Splitter - 15 points, 4 boards; he averaged 12.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in January
Aron Baynes (newly signed Spur, New Zealander by way of Washington St) - 7 points, 9 boards in blowout minutes but received praise from coaches and teammates
Chandler Parsons - 21 points
Omer Asik - 10 points, 18 boards; 11.3 rpg on the season
Danilo Gallinari - 27 points, 5 boards and 4 blocks; up to 17 ppg on the season (career high)
Greivis Vasquez - 17 points, 13 assists; breakout campaign continues
Ryan Anderson - 16 points, 6 boards; a crime he isn't starting
Marcin Gortat - 14 points, 12 rebounds
Pau Gasol - 14 points, 5 boards

Grevis Vasquez is now averaging 13.9 points, 9.4 assists (third in the NBA) and 4.5 rebounds, and has more 20/10/5 games (points/assists/rebounds) than anyone in the league except LeBron James.
Not bad!

David Lee is averaging 19.6 pts/game, and 10.9 rbds/game.
He still leads the league in double doubles with 29.

Redick is an absolutely lights out shooter and maybe the best shooter in the entire league. I know he was getting 30 plus minutes per game earlier but does anyone know why he's been starting lately. Injury to an afflete?

With all their injuries, the T'Wolves are now starting 3 whites instead of 5.
The Phoenix Suns are also starting 3 white.
And the Houston Rockets started 3 whites plus Jeremy Lin last night.
They are another caste busting team we should be rooting for.

:bump: for Houston's starters, the rapidly Whitening Pistons and the Boston Zulu's signing a White guy.

Houston is clearly the team to root for if they make the playoffs, which they should.

Houston's top 6 players in no particular order are:

James Hardin - starter
Jeremy Lin - starter
Chandler Parsons - starter
Omer Asik - starter
Carlos Delfino - sometimes starter
Donatas Motiejunas - sometimes starter.

Delfino and Motiejunas alternate as the 5th starter.
All of these players are white or Asian with the exception of Hardin.
Hopefully Houston makes the playoffs.
They are 2nd in the league in pts/game.
