Some rookies I'll be watching this year
#1 Alex Gordon - Future 3rd basemen for K.C. but Mark Teahan already holds the position. Gordon is well known for being the best hitting prospect in the minors. It is only a matter of time before he gets a shot.
#2 Billy Butler - Another K.C. prospect with a lot of talent. He might start the season in the minors but K.C. will have him up eventually. He's an amazing offensive talent. Fielding needs a little work, however.
#3 Philip Hughes - The Yankees best pitching prospect. Giambi compared him to Roger Clemens. We will see!
#4 Josh Fields - Chicago White Sox future 3rd Basemen but already 24. His only obstacle at this point is Joe Crede.
Some younger players I think will breakout this year
#1 Stephen Drew - He's a 24 yr old SS for the Arizona Diamondbacks and is the younger brother of J.D. Drew. I think a lot of people would agree that this kids is going to be a future All-Star for years to come.
#2 Ryan Zimmerman - Already a star but watch for him to put up even bigger numbers this year.
#3 Jeremy Hermida - Compared to the likes of Andy Van Slyke and Paul O'Neill. Let's hope so!
#4 Jeff Francoeur - Needs no introduction around here. His power numbers should improve this season.
Comeback players
#1 Scott Podsednik - Had surgery over the winter and is enjoying a fine spring. The addition to Erstad has really pushed him. This is the best I've seen him look since coming to Chicago.
#2 Zack Greinke - Suffered from anxiety problems last season and left the Royals camp. If he can overcome this obstacle he'll be a 15 game winner for years to come.
Milestones
Jim Thome - He will probably reach the 500 home run plateau.
Tom Glavine - Very close to 300 wins.
Craig Biggio - Very close to 3,000 hits.
Misc.
Roger Clemens comeback? lol
Aaron Rowand - Gotta love the guy. Broke his nose last year trying to make a catch.
David Wright - I didn't think this guy was white because he was on the Mets.
Teams I'll be watching
Royals
Twins
White Sox
Detroit
Indians
The A.L. Cental is best division in baseball.
Final comments
Feel free to add to this list. I don't have time to name every white prospect or future all-star. These are just a few players I'll be watching this season.
