One of the only smart things he said was that Ginobli
is as good as Lebron,T.McGrady and just about anyone else
in the nba.Walton said he is almost impossible to guard.
It's almost like he said it because he feels a little
bad about trashing Nash so bad.I can't stand Walton. He
needs to retire from announcing.

I was impressed by the intelligent postings in this thread, and I'm glad that racism didn't rear its ugly head.

If you could prove to me that we evolved (impossible), I'd believe more of what you said. If some of these genetic differences do exist, I believe we were created that way. I do think you are forgetting about one super-freak, Rick James.

I also do not believe we should be emulating a people who have a larger percentage of their population in prison than any other in the US. Oh I almost forgot, welcome to Caste Football.

Dear HW.

Humans and chimpanzees are 98% the same genetically. Hell, humans and yeast are around 70% the same genetically. Your analogy is like trying to deny there's a difference between a Ford truck and a Cadillac because they're both mostly made of steel and aluminumm. The scientific evidence for real differences in race is overwhelming. Just as Galileo's discoveries were suppressed in his time by the church, so the facts about race, obvious to anyone with a set of eyes, are suppressed by the modern religion of Politicall Correctness.

However, the point of this website is inequity in sports, which exists despite the genetic advantages ******** may enjoy in some athletic niches. For instance, even though the average black I.Q. is 15 points lower than the average white figure, 20 some odd points lower than the Asian average, and 30 points lower than that of ethnic Jews, there are still some blacks in say, medicine or nuclear physics. Something would be fishy if there were not, because statistically, there's always going to be individuals who are statistical anamolies for their race. Now compare that to NFL, where there are zero whites in some position. Fishy indeed, IMO.

hollywood north, welcome to the site, thanks for your informative post, while most of what you posted has been discussed here already, and some of it I disagree with, it was interesting reading and I thank you for taking the time to join our discussion.

Wouldn't it be wise to discourage current black culture if it had an overall effect of spreading and causing chaos and damage to the institutions necessary for maintaing our good standards of life?

And isn't it unwise for a race (whites) to adapt a cultural lifestyle that they did not develop and are not adapted for, not to mention one which insults/demeans their previous history? Just curious.

White men are already past their "athletic lowpoint" IMO. The war on white athletes was designed primarily to convince what was traditionally a warrior race that the white man on the street didn't stand a chance against the ******* on the street, that whites (despite their long history of being the most ferocious fighters on the planet) were natural wimps. Well, it has failed dramatically. Boxing is once again falling under the white fist. Every mixed-martial art tournament displays the dominating strength, endurance, toughness, and cannyness of the white man. Despite what pundits may say or who head coaches are picking to run with balls, none can take this away from us.

The day may come when the courage of [white?] men will fail. But today is not that day. Today, we fight!"-Aragorn in "The Return of the King"

"Over all stands the Aryan barbarian, white-skinned, cold-eyed, dominant, the supreme fighting man of earth"-Robert E. Howard

I am not saying there is no difference between a Ford Truck and a Cadillac, I am saying that if you compare every fibre of material going into the two cars, they are mostly the same. Edited by: hollywoodnorth

He may not be the fastest by Lumsden was timed in the
4.4 to 4.45 range with the scouts watching. That should
be more than sufficient to suceed at running back.Just
look at a E.Smith who is the all time leading rusher and
he only runs in the 4.55 - 4.6 range.Vision is more
important if you as me.Your right about Josh Ranek. He is
the real deal and deserves a shot at the nfl.Welcome to
the board Hollywoodnorth.I enjoy your posts.

The NFL will take CFL players, but not at wide receiver and running back. The only exception I can think of is Marc Boerigter, who played at such a tiny football program in college that he had no choice but to start his pro career in Canada.

Doug Flutie's brother was a star receiver in the CFL for many years but never got a shot at the NFL. About 8 or 10 years ago a white whose name I can't rememberled the CFL in rushing. The Steelers signed him as a free agent then cut him in pre-season and he never hooked on with anyone else.

In other words, if 1/50 whites thinks about going pro, perhaps
5/50 blacks want to go pro.

I agree to a certain degree. Blacks are much more focused on
the entertainment industry in general (especially sports and
music), while many whites- but not all- tend to have more
middle class aspirations. But this is further skewed by the
Caste System. A white running back who doesn't get a Div. I
scholarship will probably give up on his dream to play in the
NFL at that point (unless he's extremely lucky to be walk-on,
but that normally won't get him any closer to the NFL.)

There are 3 RBs per roster, 32 teams for a total of 96 men.
96 is a microscopic number. 96 out of 300 million!?

It's a very small number, but isn't the talent pool really Div. I
RB's
, not simply 300 million Americans? One of the main
points we make here concerning this issue is how white football
players- especially RB's and CB's- get passed over as far as
Div. I scholarships are concerned. So perhaps the talent pool
for white RB's heading into the NFL should be much, much
larger...?

That means the cream of the cream of the cream of the
cream of the crop get picked.

The cream of the Div. I crop....

Since, statistically, the pool of black talent at RB is lagrger,
than it is possible their pool of elite backs is larger. Statistically
if you have greater numbers, you also have greater chances of
finding excellence. Since blacks go in droves to the RB
position, and whites less so, it means the chances of finding a
stud RB among blacks is higher than finding one among
whites.

But that begs the question: how much larger should their talent
pool be? Should it be larger? Should it be smaller? Why do
blacks go in droves to that position? Is it purely the economic/
psychological differences that you pointed out, or does the
Caste System play a part in making them feel like they can do it
(as opposed to making many white athletes feel like they can't
do it)?

And it is entirely possible that the top 32 RBs (there are 32
starting RBs in the NFL) are part of the black pool ,since, after
all, 32 is a tiny microscopic number.

It is possible, but the college recruiting is just so totally biased
that we just don't know for sure.

They are not naturally better. Impossible.

Then it has to be either the economic/ psychological
differences, or the Caste System, or both. Let's not forget that
we're talking about football. Whites love football. Why wouldn't
an exceptional white running back not think about playing in the
NFL? Not all whites want a desk job. Maybe they run into
something along the way that crushes those dreams....

Great give and take fellows. Here is a personal anecdote that I think sheds a little( maybe very little) light on the RB question. In August of '73 me and about 150 other guys showed at Eisenhower Junior High School in Lawton, OK for 7th grade football practice. The racial breakdown was probably about 70% white and 30% black. My 6th grade (elementary school)team's backfield was all white though we did have blacks on the team. Anywho, when it comes time for the first divvying up of the herd and the coach says all RB's over there, he stops all the white kids, myself included, and tells us we're too slow. Before having seen any of us do anything but go through gear checkout,
the coaches determined the racial make-up of the skill positions. QBs white, RBs black, DBs black, OLine white and DLine black. Maybe our coaches were just more narrow-minded and racist in their thinking than most but more likely they were just, unthinkingly, in the vanguard of the now entrenched caste system.

We were terrible. There are four junior highs in Lawton of comparable size (ours was the biggest) and the other three all kicked our butts and all had integrated backfields. At least two of the whites prevented from competing at RB started as RBs in high school. They transferred to cross-town rival. You are right to say that performance should be the measuring stick but one can only perform if allowed to. One also has to have the mindset that he or she can compete and not feel that their race has destined them to only go so far or to only be able to compete at the highest levels in certain areas.

No amount of web blogging will change society....but....if some White guys (like you and me) worked harder to make it in the NFL and make some noise....new sterotypes would form such as : the white guy is good, he is a good player afterall, he's powerfull, etc.

I dunno about that. The internet has changed the world and guys like Matt Drudge have played, and still play a large part. To change the perception of a culture someone has to speak out no matter how small at first. Anyway I'm too old to play in the NFL so I will try to inspire or make possible that dream for someone youngster.

The following was told to me by a co-worker. My friend, whom I will call Ken, played high school ball in the South. His coach in his first year of high school ball, would allow blacks only to play running back. Eventually this coach, who was very unpopular, lost his job. Ken could then play running back, gaining almost 1000 yards in his senior year.

Ken is small, 5-8 or so. He told me that he ran a 4.5 forty in high school. Regarding scholarship offers, Auburn (his favorite team) would let him walk on, but wouldn't give a scholarship. Ken told me that some scout told him that if he had been 6 ft. and 210 pounds, he might have gone to Notre Dame. Ken took an offer from a 1-A school that was not a "major" school.

Ken played strong safety for two years, but gave up football to concentrate on getting an engineering degree. He has no regrets, and had a high regard for his college coach. He knew he wouldn't play pro ball, and has done well. He now has a managerial job.

Ken told me that it is VERY difficult to play college ball and carry a full load of classes. You eventually have to choose between the two, he said.

Does anyone know the plight of Luke Staley, or Chance Kreschmer, Roger Robinson, Jesse Lumsden, Sean Bennett,Travis Jervey, Dusty Stamer or any other white running backs? I haven't heard of them lately. I knew Staley blew out a knee a few years ago....Lumsden is in Seattle's camp....what about the others?

Staley when last heard of was working a minimum wage-type job at a Salt Lake City mall.

Kretschmer apparently wasn't even signed as a free agent by anyone: http://www.nevadasagebrush.com/media/paper553/news/2005/04/2 6/Sports/Moving.On.With.A.Prominent.Career.Now.Complete.Wolf .Pack.Running.Back.Chance.Kre-937672.shtml

Bennett is out of the NFL, Stamer is strictly running track, Jervey is in the twilight of his career as a "special teams demon" for the Falcons. Robinson signed with Arizona as a free agent.

I'm pretty sure that Sehorn is done with football.I
haven't heard anything about him since last season when
he failed a physical with the Rams.He seems to be content
to enjoy life after athletics. It's easier when you have
a beautiful wife like he has.I will always remember how
he shut up the critics with his incredible plays when he
was in his prime. We need more guys like him to take down
this stupid stereotype.I really hope the Seahawks trade
S.Alexander.The rumors are everywhere. If it happens,
Lumsden might actually get some good carries this year.
We can only hope!Go Lumsden.
