My Book About Sports

I had a great voicemail from Jimmy Chitwood today. He wanted me to point out how even in the track world the racial slotting
exists. Australia currently has 4 white guys running 10.15 or lower. Australia has a smaller population than
the State of Texas in the United States. Yet they have a sub 38 second 4 x 100 Relay Team. to add to that they had 2 white guys
today run equal time of 10.01 in the 100 Meters Finals of the Australian Championships. Then add to that that Lachlan Kennedy
just won a silver medal at the World Indoor Championships. Just more evidence of the Caste System. One last thing. Australia also now has the fastest 4 x 100 White Relay Team in the history of the world. Amazing from such a tiny country!

Here is a great thread where Jimmy Chitwood goes over many topics similar having to do with running.

I appreciate everyone's input. To demonstrate the way all search engines are censored now, there are just things I cannot verify, which I know have sources, because they will not promote anything that suggests Blacks are not naturally superior athletes. This is a quote from a post I made years ago on Caste Football, regarding the forgotten great ballplayer Lefty O'Doul:

O’Doul used to love to tell a funny anecdote about Ty Cobb, who was vocal about his lack of respect for the then "modern" players of the 1950s, and was especially irked by any comparisons between him and the young Willie Mays. The odious manager Leo Durocher made headlines by proclaiming that Mays was the greatest player he'd ever seen. Someone mentioned this to O'Doul at a business function, and then followed up by asking him how he thought Cobb would fare against modern players. "Well, I think he'd do about as well as Mays." O'Doul replied. The questioner was stunned- didn't he think Cobb was a better player? "Well, you have to remember," O'Doul explained, "Mr. Cobb is now over 70 years old."

I have used all the search engines, and they simply won't acknowledge this quote. I seem to have quoted it exactly, so I got it from some book. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has a source for this, I'd certainly appreciate it. Thanks!

For me, the only legitimate candidates for greatest baseball player of all time are Ruth, Cobb, and maybe Ted Williams. I'd personally give the edge to Ruth just because he was a pitcher too, but Cobb is absolutely a legit candidate.

Mays was a great player, no doubt about it, but no one would be saying he was the greatest of all time if he were white.

The search function here is great, and I've used it quite a bit. I'm trying to chronicle Mike Hass's story accurately. Wasn't he cut by the Saints before the 2006 season, then on their practice squad? Then I know he went to the Bears, who wouldn't play him either. I think it was with the Bears where either the general manager or the owner was publicly asking why Hass wasn't playing. I can't really find that here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I use Pro Football Reference.com all the time to quickly look up stats and other information. For example, here's Hass's transactions on his Pro Football Reference page, which sum up quite nicely how screwed over by the NFL this Biletnikoff Award winner was:

I think Zach Zenner can be included. He was a 2-time 2k rusher in college. Undrafted or 7th (can’t remember).

He routinely outperformed the blacks on Detroit’s teams during his time and even put up nearly 100 yards in only his second game with extensive usage (first being a dominant first half against the Cowboys and then curiously abandoned in second half).

And after he outs up 96 yards…. He never sees more than a few attempts a game.

Wow, that is quite a lengthy list, Don. Probably a record setter. But I know there was something on CF back in the day, where the owner of the team he was on then (I think maybe Bears), or the GM, was publicly wondering why Hass wasn't playing. I couldn't find references to that in a search. I just think that's very telling, that even an owner/GM couldn't get him on the field. Thanks!

Oh, I definitely included Zenner. He's one of the few screwed over White players who have responded to me. Let's just say he wasn't on board with the premise of my book. Thanks!
