I have often wondered how and why Jeremy fell off the world stage so quickly. I am no expert when it comes to the 400m, training for it etc. I noticed in 2015/16 he seemed to have gained a fair amount of body weight and struggled to run mid 45's, although he did put in a few good races indoor and Penn relays. My track buddies mostly think he was using PED's and tailed off quickly when he stopped. I do not agree he used PED's I think he worked hard and was athletically superior. Such a beautiful runner around the 400m oval. I had also thought he would make a fine 800m runner but he only tried a few with not so great results. Age finally caught up to him? I do not know.

No bashing or telling me to research the forums here..I have read them but I would like to hear people of todays opinions.

Thanks.....

Sprint you can tell your track buddies, from me, they can shove their opinions up their asses about Jeremy Wariner and their theories regarding PED's. Wariner was dominant for a VERY LONG TIME. In High School he was a heavily recruited WR known for his blazing speed. After a peerless Track and Field college stint at Baylor at the Olympics he won a Gold in 2004 and a Silver in 2008 and almost made the 400M relay team at the 2012 Olympics. And as late as 2013 he was the National 400M Indoor Champ. As an aside he was never going to be a great 800 M runner. More of a late career folly but can't blame him for trying. What happened to Jeremy happens to all runners. They get old. Just ask the "invincible" Usain Bolt.
Unless your buddies think everyone is cheating it burns my ass when people accuse white champions of cheating.

Basically he fell off after he switched coaches and started to try to also be a 200m guy.
I don't know why he made that decision, but I think his head got a bit big.
After that, he was never the same.

Although there have been quite a few threads about Jeremy Wariner, the original longest-running one is here: http://www.castefootball.us/index.php?threads/jeremy-wariner.88/

As I was browsing through the comments I noticed Don and White is Right posting comments. Other names have disappeared from CF. Also White Lightening who deserves kudos for sticking with it all these years with unflagging enthusiasm.
Below is Jeremy's GREATEST MOMENT. Wow was he something!!!

yah my buddies think all negros are cheating and some whites wariner being the most prominent. Do not worry I do tell my track buddies to take their heads out of their asses in regards to Wariner, they and I agree Lemaitre is probably 1 of 5 clean sprinters on the circuit today. I also ask them this question: in all of my track races from high school up until now why have I beaten every negro except one that I have raced? Majority answer is "because you are fast" if I can be fast why cant other whites be fast at a world level? The looks on their faces is priceless. I am slowly swaying them over the the notion that whites do, can, will dominate every track event within the next 20-25 years and the negro will be a thing of the past.

The only sign of possibly doping IMO is his association with Johnson who's "Superman" feats smell of a Bolt type doping protocol.

Wariner was unusually skinny for a 400 m runner. Many posters on message boards suggested for him to move up when he started struggling in the 400 because of his build. Wariner while being near unbeatable for about 3 years slowly started fading young like many 400m runners do in their mid 20's. If Wariner was doping you would think he could have kept closer to his prime in his late 20's when he faded even more and became a domestic level sprinter.

Ps Wariner should be considered the uncrowned champion from Beijing as there is no way Merritt was clean when he destroyed Wariner down the stretch in the final. Merritt had such a dramatic physical change from when he lost to Wariner in 07' to when he beat him in 08'.
