after reading this forum forum for many years I Thought it would be interesting to make a thread that highlights by position year the gravest injustices by position for high school football players
since College football is the minor leagues of the nfl and we know that without getting prime time exposure the odds of going on to the pros are slim I’d say this is the right
so to start it off we could use the class that are now freshmen in college
which HS wideouts, defensive backs etc that were treated the worst?
How many quick white running backs got overlooked or had to walk on etc. despite having great measurables? I’m guessing each caste position has one or two examples at least that are serious injustices.
if a whole starting lineup could be assembled of guys who got treated shabbily from the get go I think it would make for an interesting article and might even change some minds.
I remember that old sports illustrated article about the forgotten white athlete and that’s how I found this site.
I don’t track any of this closely enough to assemble such a team but an example I would think of is Sean McGrew from UW. He seems like despite a stellar hs career he really hasn’t been well utilized in college. It might not be the best example but it’s something.
if y’all like the idea then tag onto the thread.
