Mormon athletes

Why are Mormons so over-represented amongst whites in elite athletics (at least in football). Especially amongst the football crowd.

I would say they are probably "Frisian" by race and get to train by themselves. Then, they often get to train by themselves under the guise of a couple years off. Also they get to play amongst themselves.

Are there other reasons?

Well being largely removed from diversity where they could be “caste aside” at an earlier age is probably the main factor. I’d also suggest that growing up in fairly high elevations is beneficial for athletic performance (mostly endurance). So the non-stop motor that Whites typically have is simply multiplied here.

For reference, the areas with the largest percentages of Mormans run the I-15 corridor from Rexburg, ID down through the state of Utah. As you can see, these cities are 4,500 ft and up. SLC too, unlisted as it has less than 50% Mormon now, but still carries a large total number due to the city size.
