More black quarterback hype

I have long suspected that this is exactly what the plan of the caste system would be in regard to the Quarterback position, which is the last frontier to the artificially created dominance of blacks in the NFL. With all the recent failures of black quarterbacks, I don't think they are deterred from their experiment but more determined than ever to make it work. The NFL is completely willing to accept mediocrity and attempt to pass it off as excellence. This should be obvious to anyone by now. As they hype more and more of these black quarterbacks into the major college ranks, the NFL talent pool for capable White QB's will shrink. The NFL will have to look increasingly less to BCS schools if they want the tried and trued White pro style QB's. More White QB's will have to go the route of the Joe Flacco's of the world and the caste system will have its excuse to not give them a fair shot. Not to be overly pessimistic, but I feel they have only just begun their true assault. I expect the next decade (If the country and the NFL survives that long) to be one filled with widespread mediocrity at the QB position. Edited by: Bear Backer
 
I agree with your assessment, except that the continued excellence of white quarterbacks is making it almost impossible to have a good team with a black QB. Caste System artificiality is much more difficult to hide at the "most important position in sports." Teams are under too much pressure to eventually win to keep unveiling DuhMarcus-type "projects" to compete with all the superb white quarterbacks that continue to come out of college ball.

Scout's top 5 QB's for 2011 are all black... Gimme a break, its obvious by now that these guys wll never pan out. Then again, the spread offense(run oriented)is the only way these "quarterbacks" thrive. I wish more college teams would adopt a more old school style of pounding the ball and using play action when appropriate ala Wisconsin and Stanford. I'm sick of all this "speed kills" nonsense. So many teams defenses are designed to stop the spread nowadays that a power run game has the potential to manhandle opponents.
 
Even in these "QB run-oriented" spread offenses, the teams with white athletic QBs are much better. Besides Vince Young a few years back, I can't think of a single spread offense team that is successful because of their "talented and speedy" black spread-option QB. Ohio State did well on the backs of their defense, not because of the "otherworldly" talent of their QB Terrell Pryor. Look at how well the Illini did with the "incredible" Juice Williams......
 
I agree FootballDad I'm just sick of all the exposure and seemingly endless possibilitiesblack QBsreceive. The agenda is clear and it's tough for me to see this going on. They have had their chance in the NFL and the vast majority have failed. If the situation would somehow be reversed and white RBS were given opportunities and didn't capitalize we know it would be a one and done ordeal.
Little steps I suppose.
