soccer like football is a game of speed..... a good showing of white athletic talent in soccer there could lessen the steriotype that whites are less athletic then blacks. This could help strenghten our arguement that there should be more caucasian RB's, CB, Safetys and WR's in the NFL


* Most players drafted are comming out of American college programs


Here is an analysis of the MLS draft:


32 of the 48 players drafted are white


Very few hispanics drafted


Most non white players are black


6 of top 12 white (first round)


9 of next 12 (second round)


9 of 12 in third round


8 of 12 in fourth round





>....... I am not sure if this represents an increase in whites in MLS soccer... i would love some commentary on this

that is exactly 66.6 % or 2/3

Well i guess that in addition to those drafted teams also are allowed to sign international players who have not played in the US. Only players who are US residents or have played in the US are eligable for the MLS draft.

Is anyone aware of what the current demographics of MLS soccer are.
