And Schwarber was only the 4th out of all of those players to have a chance for a 5th home run, which has never been done. He came up again in the 8th against Braves infielder Vidal Brujan and popped up. Schwarber was the only one in the stadium who doubted that he would hit # 5. In his words, "I stink against position players."
 
Athletics rookie slugger Nick Kurtz suffered a mild right oblique injury Saturday evening. The MRI. came back clean. Kurtz has been one of the best players in the league since being called up. The number 4 overall pick in 2024 draft is batting .308 with 27 homers and 70 RBIs in 94 games.
He had memorable game against the Houston Astros on July 25th going 6-6 with 4 homers and 8 RBI!

According to Ian Browne of MLB.com, the 14.71-second home-to-home time was the fastest in Major League Baseball this season, and the fastest ever by a Red Sox player since Statcast tracking began in 2015.

 
I'm really worried about Mike Trout. He is in the worst slump of his career. He has been stuck on 20 home runs for the longest time and he strikes out way too much. It seem like he lost his confidence. Then he misses alot of playing time even at the D.H. Position. Sad to see.

Witt Jr. HR #22. He needs 8 more to have his third straight 30/30 season!
Freeman just keeps rolling along adding to his incredible active career lead in 6 categories. He went 3-6 today with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Now batting .296
 
Kyle Schwarber hit his 53rd home run yesterday. He is only 1 off the Major League Lead in Home Runs! Then on top of that he is most likely
going to win the RBI Title as he has a good lead with about 11 games to go. It would be cool to see him win both of these titles and then
A. Judge would only win the batting title. Hoping he is another player that will make the 500 career home run club.

Raleigh's now tied for the seventh highest home run total ever excluding the juiced up totals of the steroids era -- Roger Maris 61, Babe Ruth 60, Ruth 59, Jimmie Foxx 58, Hank Greenberg 58, Hack Wilson 56. With a dozen games to go he could surpass some of those all-time greats.
 
Congrats to Raleigh on passing Mantle and tying the Mariners record! Hopefully he will break that in the coming days.

Regarding the "legit homerun record", I consider it to be the 62 that Aaron Judge hit in 2022. Judge is a natural power hitter like Raleigh, who has never been accused of using any performance enhancers. I don't expect anyone here to "root" for Judge, who appears to be a quadroon or similar at best guess because he was adopted and his biological parents are unknown. Aaron was raised by a White family and acts as such. That said, I would like to see "The Big Dumper" tie or pass him to put the record back in the hands of a White man. Go Cal!!

Also, it should be noted that this is the first season since 2001 that 3 players have hit 50 or more homruns. Raleigh, Schwarber and Ohtani. Of course in 2001, it was 3 steroid cheaters. If Judge hits 2 more before season's end, then it will tie 2001 and 1998 for the milestone of 4 players. I don't 5 have ever been done, but it could happen with Eugenio Suarez at 45 currently.
