The MLB Season kicks off today. Actually, it started a few days with LA Dodgers and Chicago Cubs played two games in in Tokyo. the Dodgers won both games.
there are 14 games being played today.
Among the teams to watch will be:
Baltimore and Philadelphia. I believe the entire starting lineup for the Phillies will be white. We'll see if KC Royals Bobby Witt Jr. continues to rise as an MVP candidate. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of Mike Trout as he has missed most of the last 4 seasons of his prime. He had a good spring training and says he feels the best he ever has!
Philadelphia Phillies projected 2025 starting lineup:
1. Trea Turner SS
2. Bryce Harper 1B
3. Alec Bohm 3B
4. Kyle Schwarber DH
5. JT Realmuto C
6. Max Kepler LF
7. Nick Castellanos RF
8. Bryson Stott 2B
9. Brandon Marsh CF
If anyone wants to start a positional review, they can. I'll try and help, but have been extremely busy of late.
Knighted Soldier 5000 is always knowledgeable there. Maybe he has time to help?

The Orioles will start 7 of 9 as All Star Gunnar Henderson will miss opening day due to an intercostal strain. He will be eligible to be activated on April 3, so he could return soon.
Projected opening day lineup:
1. Colton Cowser LF
2. Adley Rutschman C
3. Jordan Westburg 2B
4. Ryan O'Hearn DH
5. Tyler O'Neill RF
6. Ryan Mountcastle 1B
7. Cedric Mullins CF
8. Ramon Urias 3B
9. Jackson Holiday SS
INJ: Gunnar Henderson SS/3B

Thanks guys. Here’s the AL breakdown. I’ll do the NL later.

Orioles at 7/9 today and 8/9 when Henderson returns very soon. 4/5 rotation with the non being Japanese.

Blue Jays have 5/9 counting Bichette and Kirk (White hispanic). 4/5 rotation.

Rays are much improved with 6/9. 4/5 rotation.

Red Sox have 4 or 4.5. I’m generously counting jew Bregman and Wong is half Asian. 5/5 rotation!

Yankees have 4 or 4.5. Volpe is half Filipino. 3 of 5 but Fried is jewish and Rodon is a questionable White hispanic.

Cleveland only 2/9 today. Yuck. Should be more depending on the matchup. 4 of 5 rotation.

Royals with a surprising 7/9 today! 5/5 rotation!

Tigers have some White injuries so only 3/9. Also I don’t count Riley Greene. 4/5 and don’t be fooled by anti-White mulatto Flaherty.

Twins have 6/9. Generously counting jew Bader and White Cuban Miranda. 3/5 rotation.

White Sox only 4/9 so can’t blame WT when they suck. 4 of 5 rotation.

Angles have 5/9. Could be 6 when SS Neto returns? 3 of 5 with a Japanese taking up a spot.

Astros have a sad 3/9. 3/5 rotation.

Athletics have a solid 6/9. 3 of 5 rotation.

Mariners have a paltry 2. 3 if you count questionable Rowdy Tellez. 3.5 out of 5 rotation as Bryan Woo is part Asian.

Rangers are at 6.5. Higashioka is half Japanese. 4/5 rotation.

Thanks Freethinker! Counting the Orioles 8/9 that's 72/135 if my math is correct or 53%. Not terrible considering the great replacement in full force.
I'm hoping the NL is better.
Would anyone want to look up the starting pitcher count?

Orioles C Rutschman HR! Big day for catchers so far!
Brewers 3B Vinny Capra HR

I’ll update to include SPs too.

NL lineups and rotation demographics.

Braves only 3 of 9 but could bump to 4 when catcher Murphy is healthy. 4/5 rotation.

Marlins 6 of 9 lineup and 3 of 5 rotation.

Mets have weird opening day lineup of only 3 (or 4 with Torrens) of 9. Typically, and if healthy, expect 5. 4/5 rotation with a Japanese pitcher. Eventually could decrease to 2/5.

Nationals 4 of 9 lineup but 5/5 rotation!

Phillies with the 9 for 9 lineup(!) but balance out with only 2 of 5 rotation.

Brewers 7 of 9, if you count part Asian Yelich. Rotation only 1 of 3 White with tons of injuries. Out of the pool of SPs potentially coming back, 5 of 6 appear White.

Cardinals only 4 of 9, and that’s generously counting Nootbaar. At least rotation is 5 of 5!

Cubs 7 of 9 today with a Jap. Catcher is a timeshare so 8/9 on those days! 4/5 with a Jap. Cubs another good team.

Pirates only 3 of 9. Bump to 4 when injured jewish 1st baseman Spencer Horwitz returns. Rotation 5/5 at least!

Reds are 6 of 9 today counting the questionable Christian Encarnacion-Strand (what a jerk for making us endure that long a name). Starting catcher returning from injury bumps to 7. 3 or 4 in the rotation depending how you classify Nick Martinez.

Diamondbacks only 3 of 9 and that’s generously counting Carroll. Rotation 4/5 at least.

Dodgers only 4 of 9, and that’s counting Edman, with 1 Jap. 3 of 5 rotation with 2 Japs.

Giants are 4 of 9 with a Korean. Rotation 4 of 5.

Padres only 3 of 9 today and most other days too. 4/5 rotation.

Rockies are 8 of 9 lineup(!) with a 3 of 5 rotation. Let’s hope they exceed their low expectations.

Spencer Torkelson was 1-1 with a HR and 4 walks in a Tiger loss.

I swear the crowd in LA was 95% Mexican.

I found this article on Latin players in baseball interesting. It also has charts to show which teams have the most Latinos on their team. As of 2024 60.5 % of players were white and 39.5 were other.

D@#%! Phillies Trea Turner scratched form today's lineup after only one game. These guys are so fragile!
Anyway, when I saw today's lineup, I thought someone might have complained about the all WHITE Phillies starting 9. Philadelphia is up big on Washington 10-3. Kyle Schwarber has come out smokin! Another HR in only the second game, 2 hits and 3 RBI! Marsh and Stott HR's as well!
On a downer note, Washington's potential ROY Dylan Crews is 0-4 and 4 K's. No hits in the first two games.

Yankees set a franchise record with 9 HR's in a single game. Aaron Judge hit 3/ 8 RBI. Have we determined what Judge is? White, black, Mystery meat, what? I think he was adopted by white parents.
Goldschmidt, Bellinger, Wells and Volpe hit HR's as well.

Crazy game.

Definitely looks biracial and two white adopter parents.

Campbell drops a catch and causes two runs for the Sox. And two innings later they are still talking about his unbelievable effort and athleticism!!!
