Mike Mollo is another White Heavyweight to watch out for, he will be fighting DaVaryl Williamson on May 6th. Mike is 15-0. He has become friends with Peter Marciano [Rocky's brother] . Both the Mollo and Marciano families came from Naples,Italy. I hope Mike beats Williamson like another Italian-American did Joe Mesi.

Mike Mollo fights this week {May 6th}.He fights DaVarryl Williamson. I want Mike to win by a KO. He's an American[Italian descent]. He is another of the White American lads who could do well in boxing. Fields, Kaufmann, Minto, Marrone. Mike Mollo could perhaps be the best of the bunch [US Heavyweights].But he really needs a win on Saturday!

Williamson is beatable. Infact he can be intimidated with power. His ko loss to Mesi should have been a career ender......

Update Mollo was ko'd in the 4th by Williamson. What that says about Mollo I don't know as that fight was televised. It looks bad as Williamson is very robotic and stiff and can easily be outboxed by a smooth boxer type.......

The only report on the fight I could find...DaVarryl Williamson scored a fourth round knockout over previously unbeaten Chicago prospect Mike Mollo in a heavyweight under card bout.

Williamson, fighting for the first time since his loss last year to then IBF champ Chris Byrd, seemed to be simply to experienced for the upcoming, yet somewhat green, Mollo. While Mollo had utilized an incredibly straight-forward, aggressive style to earn himself two of the first three rounds, the veteran remained calm, and simply bided his time.

"He was throwing everything in there'" stated Williamson. "I just kept my hands up, and stayed patient. He was already starting to breathe heavy, and I was thinking 'man the fight is just starting."

While the fight may have just been beginning for Williamson (23-4, 19 KOs), it was just about to end for Mollo. With roughly twenty seconds left in the fourth round Williamson landed his trademark right hand, sending Mollo (15-1, 9 KO's) reeling back into the ropes. The veteran Williamson, no stranger to hurting opponents with the aforementioned
devestating punch, immediately jumped on Mollo. After Williamson landed several more right hands and left hooks through the guard of Mollo, referee Bob Benoit jumped in and halted the bout. Time of the stoppage 2:59 of round number four. -- Pat Kelley.

Mollo needs to go back to the drawing board, maybe he has it maybe not. Brian Minto should be given a shot at Williamson.

Minto has proven more and would be at Williamson's level. I think Minto is with Arum though. This might have been a poor man's version of Mercer-Morrison, or maybe Mollo is just too small to be a heavy.......

Boxing is an unforgivebale sport these days. I mean, a hot prospect can lose one fight and he's written off. I don't think it's necessarily fair. Athletes in MMA lose all the time, but they come back and win. That's the nature of the fighting game. Everyone wrote off Vlad, but he came back and has done quite well and is now a champion heavyweight. Let's not write him off yet fellas.

We are not writing him off,I like him,I hope he does very well in boxing. I do wonder about his training however, for a man that young to run out of gas so early in a fight is not a good sign. He was chopping wood/hitting a tire with a sledge hammer and that will help the punching power but did he do enough roadwork? How much did he spar? Nobody is writing Mollo off-we are all White Brothers here who DESIRE to see our fellow White Brothers succeed in all sports.
Mollo can have a couple of confidence building fights,train hard and next time win!!One more thing boxers don't fight so often so a loss really hurts.Baseball teams can lose a lot of games and still win the pennett,college football one loss and there goes your national championship.It's the nature of the sport.

I think Joe Mesi can grab a title before he retires. Also, Kelly Pavlik will be middleweight champ some day. Paul Spadafora was lightweight champ before spending a few years in jail.

Pavlik may fight Calzaghe. Mesi won't win a title unless he is matched against the right opponent. I actually fear for Joe's safety.....

Mollo is 100% right about the so-called referee in his fight with Szpilka, Celestino Ruiz, who was so blatantly biased that he even cursed at him in the middle of the fight ("watch your f'ing head!"). Boxing in the U.S. just keeps getting worse and worse. So does everything else.

Mike Mollo just destroyed prospect Krzysztof Zimnoch with a first round ko. I don't know what that means about the Polish prospect as Mollo is what he is(a tough ESPN level fighter). I suspect Mollo if he still lives in the South Side of Chicago he will be having a round or two in a bar like this......

Mollo looked impressive, so much bigger and stronger than he had been before, in his rapid demolition of Zimnoch (who has won two in a row since), but he lost his last fight. I thought he had a fight coming up but I don't see anything. I just looked at his facebook page and saw this. He's a good guy. He should be posting here.

im in the lobby of a hotel right now having breakfast before work. This lady starts talking politics and saying how the candidates need to change there tones and stop calling each other names. As she's saying this, she then starts going on and on about trump, all kool aide. As soon as I said something about killary she blew up on me and started calling me names! Typical liberal hypocrite. She said her piece and I told her mine. 645 am in the hotel breakfast room and I went off on this chick! Didn't call her not one name except hypocrite and told her she did exactly what she said people need to stop doing. As she ran off with her tail in between her legs everyone else in the lobby was cheering lol. I'm sure this will be the highlight of my day. Liberal=agree with me or else!

Rudenko - Mollo. It looks like they set up the boxing ring in a small antique style saloon in the Ukraine. Rudenko caused a deep cut over Mollo's eye with an accidental head butt. Mollo couldn't see and the fight was stopped. Rudenko was ahead on points and declared the winner. Rudenko is fighting a (European) Georgian next week in what should be little more than a sparring match for him. Rudenko is ranked 40th in the world, Mollo 67.
