Mich. ban on race in college admissions illegal

DETROIT (AP) - A federal appeals court has struck down Michigan's ban on the consideration of race and gender when enrolling students at public colleges and universities.

In a 2-1 decision Friday, the court said Michigan's Proposal 2 is unconstitutional because it burdens minorities. It was approved by voters in 2006.

The University of Michigan and other public schools have been forced to change admissions policies offering preferential treatment based on race and gender.

The ban was placed in the Michigan Constitution after getting 58 percent of the vote nearly five years ago. It affected government hiring as well as college admissions.

In 2008, a federal judge in Detroit upheld the law, saying it was race-neutral because no single race can benefit.

For the most part, all these stupid rulings are irrelevant anymore. We're fast approaching the day of reckoning with the minorities and when we start culling them, nobody will care about these stupid judges anymore, except to settle accounts with them.

(3) Black Judge Strikes Down Michigan Affirmative Action Ban

In Michigan, a three judge panel on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has struck down Michigan's ban on affirmative action.

The Clinton appointed black judge R. Guy Cole argued that repealing the constitutional amendment, "unconstitutionally alters Michigan's political structure by impermissibly burdening racial minorities."Â￾

If these "minorities"Â￾ propose unpopular public polices that fail to attract White support for a legislative remedy, well, this is a black world now, and that qualifies as an "impermissible burden"Â￾ that violates the 14th Amendment.

The 14th Amendment is being interpreted here to mean giving "minorities"Â￾ anything they want because to do otherwise would impose an "impermissible burden"Â￾ on Black Run America.

A few years back 58% of Michigan residents voted to ban race based college admissions.

Now, two radical left-wing Clinton appointed judges have ordered a halt to the ban. They invoked a power known as judicial review. This is not a constitutional power, this is a made up power that judges gave themselves.

The two judges are lesbian Martha Daughtry and R. Cole.

Attorneys for MCRI hope to have the ban overturned by the Supreme Court.

All minorities need, and are asking for, is a chance. Just a chance. And behold the wonders they will produce. Why, just consider the Nigerian-stolen-airplane-boarding-pass caper. He attended the University of Michigan. Frankly, I could never pull off such a feat. And I doubt any other white person could as well.

But seriously, why not just have a full quota system for everything? It would make life so much simpler. Seems to work fairly well in India. Such happy people.
