Would someone post Jesus Vick's states for today. I'm very
interested in knowing how " The most dangerous player in the NFL"
(Negro Football League) did today. It warms my heart to hear that
the Savior of the NFL lost today but of course the NFL seems to know
which games he will loose and not show him on national
television. I know that hes stats are availiable on the net,
however, I would like to hear from someone who watched the game and can
relate the subtle nuances of Michael the Arch angel Vick's play.

Well I could have have rushed for 36 yards! Peyton Manning
could have fallen out of bed and tossed for 171. Didn't Messiah
Vick tell the media a few weeks ago that he only wanted to hear
praise cause he tossed for 280 yards and won a game? One must be
more consistant than two games with 200 or more yards before he can (if
he has the arrogance to do so) command the media to "Only praise
me"

Last week all the analysts at Yahoo picked the Falcons to walk over the Cougars today because of the great one. I guess they were wrong .

Cris Carter: Prediction: Atlanta. Michael Vick is the only true superstar in the game. He's the one you can't account for when he runs with the football. That's what makes the Falcons so dangerous. In this type of game in which the teams are evenly matched, I have to side with the superstar, and that superstar is Michael Vick. Bad weather (the forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms) won't matter much, either, because Atlanta is the No. 1 running team in the league.

In all fairness, the Falcons have owned the Panthers. The Falcons have won every game against the Panthers in which Vick has started or played, six-0, I think, til today. That whole division is an anamoly; each of the four teams in that division will normally sweep one other team in that division, and in turn be swept by another one.

Til today, that is!

Because of that history, I picked the Falcons over the Panthers in my football pool, and this game, no kidding, actually cost me the pot.

But I'm still smiling, because it looks to me like the Falcons are on the way out and may not even make the playoffs.

You know, I have to say, I don't "hate" Mike Vick. I don't want to see the guy murdered or decapitated by a lineman or something. What I hate is the sports culture's love affair with this guy. He would make an excellent wideout, but this non-stop drooling adoration of him as a quarterback has got to stop. Its the worst sort of pathetic man-love we can heap on someone so undeserving. And the game's only true superstar? LOL Cris Carter must be hanging out with Michael Irvin these days, all that crack he be smokin'! He's a mediocre quarterback at best, a media creation, now afraid of watching their multi-million dollar ad packages go down the tubes.

Cris Carter is an idiot. Anybody who actually listens to what this guy says is a dumbass. Carter loves pupming up his fellow brothers and actually believes what he says. Carter is also the worst analyst ever(besides Madden) he always tells you the most obvious things that an English scoccer player, who has never watched a football game in his life, could point out.

Madden went overboard defending Vick tonight. After admitting Vick had the lowest passing percentage the last few years, he did his darndest to make him look good in comparison to Peyton Manning. He said people are always criticisingVickfor not being able to throw the ball like Manning, but why aren't they critical of Manning for not being able to run like Vick? And then he added with RELISH, " You know why he doesn't run out of the pocket more ... it's because he can't."

I don't know, it just bugged me the way he said it. To elevate Michael Vick, he had to belittle Manning. Mind you, Peyton may be without peer in this league... now or ever! Of course, running ability is nice to have , especially if you stink as a passer, but that is what quarterbacks do--pass the ball. Peyton could wear leg irons and still drive the team downfield better than Vick. Did anybody else catch that? If so, am I right or misreading what he said?

Matt Schaub came in and immediately threw the best pass of the night by either quarterback, to Alge Crumpler. A couple plays later Crumpler dropped a perfectly thrown ball in the endzone.

Every time Schaubplays and shows how potentially good he can bethe announcers go out of their way to say he's nowhere near as good as Vick. When he scrambled for ten yards Madden and Michaels yucked it up and we were even given a shot of Schaub laughing at himself. This is the norm just about every time a white quarterback takes off. If the media were interested in being fair about racial stereotypes, we would hear the announcers laughing and joking every time a black quarterback throws an accurate pass.

I didn't turn the game on once last night. I decided I just didn't need to get angry watching a football game. Now all I have to do is avoid Sportscenter this morning and I should miss the Michael Vick experience completely.

"Matt Schaub came in and immediately threw the best pass of the night by either quarterback, to Alge Crumpler."

Spot on, Mr. Wassall. The difference in the level of poise and pocket presence between Schaub, on one hand, and Vick and Brooks, on the other hand, was remarkable. The Falcons receivers were open all night but Vick just can't get the ball to them. When he does get the ball into the same zip code as a wide receiver, it usually takes a jumping/diving/twisting/circus-style catch to bring it in (which usually means no yards after the catch). Although Roddy White did manage to keep his feet on a jump-ball that resulted in a TD.

I know this sounds like Monday (or Tuesday) morning quarterbacking, but the Falcons would have scored at least 2 more TDs if Schaub had played the whole game.

And didya notice that the Falcons ONCE AGAIN padded St. Vick's stats by allowing him to run for 2 "gimme" touchdowns? With a solid O-line and Duckett and Dunn in the backfield, the Falcons would have scored those points anyways -- it just looks better the next day to say that Vick "accounted for" 3 touchdowns. Smoke and mirrors, folks.

The dike is leaking a bit more though. Today's Atlanta newspaper noted that Atlanta's wide receivers are called on to make some remarkable plays due to Vick's inaccurate throws.

I also could not watch much of the game last night. It is just too much
to take when either Madden or Joe Theismann broadcasts an Atlanta game.
Do any of these idiotic jock-sniffers ever call him either "Vick" or
even "Michael" (in the best tradition of lovingly calling black
athletes by their first names?) All I hear any of them say is "Michael
Vick" this, or "Mike Vick" that, always both names together. What is
that? On the incredibly bad "Mike and Mike" ESPN show this morning,
Mike Golic must have said "Michael Vick" 25 times during a two-minute
"analysis" of the game. His obnoxious partner, "Greenie" then stated
that no other QB could have scored the touchdowns Vick scored
last night. Huh? These guys are unbelievable. They have all but
declared that Vick is a supernatural being. I don't care what anyone
says, this super-overrated clown is one of the worst QBs I have ever
seen play football.

Excellent point Southern Knight. We were also told that Vick is a winner, having won three Monday Night games this year. Consider however, the teams Atlanta played.

Philly, New Orleans and the Jets, all struggling teams andDEADLASTin theirdivisions. I could have playedQBfor Atlanta and won at least two of those games.

Super Messiah Vick will be defeated the last three games of the
season. The Falcoons can all go over to Jesus Vick's crib
to watch the playoffs while sitting with the " most dangerous player in
the NFL" (Negro fo life).

Why are the only sportswriters who will critize Vick Black? This has always baffled me.

There is nothing unique about him, hell half the QB's in the CFL have the exact same skill set.Edited by: Ta Waki Mumba

Madden usually does remote broadcastes from
Vick's ass during Falcon games. Its nauseating to listen to the
Monday night mouth, I end up turning the volume down.

Dec. 18, Atlanta at Chicago, on ESPN:

Joe Theisman asks the rhetorical question, why isn't Vick throwing the ball all over the field like Rex Grossman. His response? Because Vick isn't at that point in his development yet.

Rex Grossman has played in six NFL games.
Mike Vick has played in fifty-five (55) NFL games.

He isn't as developed as a guy who has played in SIX GAMES?? How much longer does Vick need in his "development" to be as good as a guy who is essentially a rookie?

Idiot.

I heard the same thing, WS. There are so many vick apologists out there, it just staggers the mind. They [broadcasters] seem to hang their very hopes on this mediocre football player doing well.

At the rate things are going, Vick will be going into the Hall of Fame and they'll still be talking about him being in "development."

I wonder if Steve Young will tone it down after seeing Vick's performance Sunday.Young once again predicted a Falcon win over the Bears led by the mighty Vick. When is this guy going to get in touch with reality. You know what,I don't thing Steve is a dumb guy It's probably a case of him feeling he has to cater to the Negro,I mean just look at how he acts in the studio all that yelling and screaming,he's starting to sound just like a brutha.Speaking of acting black Ron Jaworski takes the cake he looks ridiculous with all his yelling. It's bad enough to have white teenagers being wiggers but grown men look totally ridiculous. One more thing, is there any one athlete that is discussed on this board that is more hated than Vick?

Rex Grossman hasn't played a regular season game in 2 years and still look better than him.

It's because we're used to black athletes getting way more opportunity, publicity and corporate endorsements than white athletes, but at least they're usually successful. No one's going to deny that Tiger Woods is a great golfer or that Shaq has had a successful career. But Vick's "greatness" has essentially been created out of whole cloth. The only thing the media could fall back on is that "his team wins," but now even that excuse is getting flimsier by the week.

"Madden (is that a Jewish surname?) usually does remote broadcastes from Vick's ass during Falcoon games."

Hilarious! By the way, Madden's not jewish but I've always had my doubts about Joe Theismann (who has ALWAYS looked and sounded jewish, and never moreso than when he is slavishly professing his everlasting love for his Nubian king, "MICHAEL VICK, MICHAEL VICK, MICHAEL VICK!!!") And "Theismann" could very well be a Hebrew moniker.

Vick was clueless last night, as bad as he has ever been. And how about his leadership skills? Every time they showed him on the sidelines, his stooped shoulders and pissed-off demeanor indicated that he had already lost the game mentally, and he had no interest in lifting "his" team to rally itself back into the game.

Every week it becomes more apparent: the Michael Vick draft-deal will haunt the Falcoons for years. The "other side" of the deal -- essentially, Drew Brees and LaDanian Tomlinson -- were busy whipping the Colts yesterday. History will show the Vick deal to be one of the worst trades of all time.

Another factor last night was the weather. The system proclaims that blacks are exactly like whites (except when it comes to athletic ability), but that single digit temperature and accompanying winds in Chicago made it seem 20 to 30 degrees colder to Vick than to a white quarterback. Similarly, in unbearably hot humid summer weather, it's not unusual to see blacks wearing multiple layers of clothing, wool cap, etc., and be perfectly comfortable.

Vicksimply wastoo cold to function.
