he will be coming back. they plan to slow his fighting down though. he will most likely only have two or three fights a year rather then four.

Mesi could have been great. After this serious injury, I don't think his future is too bright. He was my favorite fighter, though. I hope his return is good.

I was really hopeful about Mesi too, but I think Sean is right. He will probably have a tough time from now on.

They did a piece about him on Outside the Lines, and
according to a specialist they hired, the clot is completely gone,
and he's no more likely to have further brain injury than any
other fighter. But they still might not let him ever fight again in
America. I didn't see the whole piece, but there was also
something about him not handing over his medical records
soon enough. And there's also the possibility that he could
fight overseas. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Joe Mesi has a hearing scheduled for April 18 with something called the NSAC to try and get reinstated.Jack Mesi,Joe's father,wants not only Joe to speak at this hearing but their legal staff and their medical team as well.A secound hearing will then be held where a final determination will be made on Joe's future in boxing.Hopefully all will go well and Joe can resume his career 100% healthy.

Joe Mesi was on WGRZ-TV in Buffalo Sunday night expanding on his thoughts about the goings-on in his life.His neurologist will be pleading his case at his upcoming hearing,and with theclotgone,they feel they havea shot.With what Joe had,Mesi wishes the medical profession wouldn't look at his situation as all cut and dry since everyone is different.Mesi talked how tough it was getting over the depression he went through since his last fight,but he feels he is over that now.If all goes well Joe thinks he can have his first comeback fight in June somewhere in Western New York.We shall no more in two weeks time.

Thanks for the update.I like Mesi and I hope he is cleared but I don't know if he has what it takes at
the Heavyweight Level.He is an outstanding fighter but
he might be better at the Cruiserweight Level.The guys
don't hit nearly as hard as giants like Klitschko do.
Regardless,I wish him well and will root for Mesi if
he fights again.

mesi is a very good heavy weight. He has great power his problem has been his indurence. He has the same problem tyson has. In his last two fights he was very dominate in the early rounds but wore down in the latter rounds. He came close to KO out both Monte barrett and Jirov. Mesi is to big to become a cruierweight he is about 6'1 230. He looks almost like an NFL line backer. He is also still young only 30 so he still has time to come back.

The Medical Advisory Board ruled against Joe Mesi yesterday,so that might be it for his career.The Nevada State Athletic Comittee will now make their decision on the case,but they areexpected to go by what the Advisory Board has ruled and since other Athletic boards go with what Nevada does,it does not look good.

mesi can still fight outside the US however, the same way tommy morison did. Evander holyfield was told by the medical advisery board that he would never fight again and he did.

Well I didn't think about that possibility. Maybe he can get back in the ring overseas.
