I have to say the following.

The other day, I told my wife I was going to do yard work on some property we own. She asked if she could go with me. Of course, I said fine. Then there was a discussion as to what time we'd leave. She said she couldn't possibly be "ready" to go at the time I said. Okay, we compromised (closer to the time she said).
Then there was what she'd wear. What's the big deal about what you wear when you weed? When we got there, every job I assigned her was too hard and I was being mean to her. When I offered to let her do the jobs I was going to do, that was mean as well because I knew she couldn't do that work. Finally, I invented jobs for her. What essentially ended the whole thing was she was able to scratch herself somehow and it was my fault. You see fellas, what I didn't understand was it was all about getting ready, and lunch, not actually putting her hand to the work. But it's too late for me. I love her so much, I only want her to be happy. She was very happy to go to lunch. I'll go back and do the work some other time.

There is never a time in anyone's life where they don't realize that men and women are significantly different. It is completely understandable why--whether you believe in the biblical creation or some sort of evolution. The fact that such simple universal unquestionable statements of obvious fact have to be certified or verified by some sort of "expert" tells you all you need to know about the modern world.

There is a core group of very influential people that have a profound hate of humanity and nature. They find they must question every basic common assumption and find every simple obvious fact wrong in some way. The way humans have lived for eons and the total sum of understanding gathered in that time is now declared to be wrong or better yet evil. I would like to punch people like that in the nose. I will instead try to take comfort that someday nature and/or God is going to wreak a horrible vengence on those people. It cannot come soon enough for me.

Good story Tom Iron. Doesn't really help me understand women any better, but it gives me some insight into why I don't understand them.

A lot of that "core group" in Jaxvid's post are located in academia. If this economic meltown continues, that bloated, corupted institution known as higher eduction will be severely downsized (already happening here in California) and at least some of that core group will lose their platform and access to young people's minds. The more elite institutions might have the means to keep on going, but sooner or later, as Jaxvid says, nature will catch up with them.
