McCain picks Sarah Palin as running mate

The US is beginning the slow and steady decline that all empires go through.

Affirmative action has made it all the way up to the election for president of the United States. Who can out politically correct who? How far down the ladder must each party reach to find the person of the correct race and sex for their affirmative action purposes?

Anybody who votes in this election is a stooge.

Col. It may turn out to be a good move by McCain. She adds youth, is anti-abortion, and from what I've heard on the talk shows will make the evangelicals happy. She will also siphon off some very ticked off Hillary supporters from the Democrats. This is just a ploy to steal off disgruntled Clinton voters. Being stupid as they are, it will most likely work too.

Its all about "the first woman blah blah" just as with Obama its the "first black blah blah". It seems these "milestones" are far more important then experience or agenda.

Personally, im surprised it wasnt Lieberman. I read that Karl Rove personally asked Lieberman to stay away from McCain. What is going on in the Republican party?
 
I think the choice is brilliant. The party machinery must have some good minds.

Still, it looks like I'll have my usual write-in ballot for Pat Buchanon.

After hearing her speak a little today, you might be right Bart. Its funny how immediately after the announcement of her as VP candidate, Obama's campaign said that the inexperience argument is now off the table. Not really, because the inexperienced one isn't at the top of the ticket like Obama. Stupid Dems. Of course, with the media as allies, they just may get their wish. I could care less asI'm voting for Chuck Baldwin. To heck with the lesser of two evils.
 
I predicted to a couple of friends of mine last Tuesday that Sarah Palin would be McCains's suprise pick. In fact, I had her as a dark horse candidate several months ago. It's a game changer and a brilliant pick by McCain and his handlers. She has solid credibilty among evangelicals, she's a drill now in ANWAR lady, she is a lifelong member of the NRA,a avid hunter and fisherman, a star point guard on her state championship basketball team and that is why she probably came out to the theme song from Hoosiers. But the main thing that will create a paradigm shift in the election is that she is a woman, a hockey mom who carried her fifth child a down's syndrome baby to term at age 44. If he had chosen pro-choice candidates Leiberman or Ridge it would have been a disaster and the convention in MN would have been a war zone. Barring a disaster at the debates or McCain suddenly taking ill, he just won the election with this pick. Just stating what I believe to be the facts and I am not telling anybody who to vote for.Edited by: guest301

I thought that she was pro-choice. Imho her pick as vp did take the charges of inexperience off the table. McCain isn't a spring chicken you know.

G301, I agree with you, it was a brilliant pick, on just about every level. My thought when reading about her was the same as yours: with that pick he just won the election.

A young pro-life, pro-gun, pro-active energy solutions woman with great 'family values' cache. *She also apparently supported Buchanan in 1996--which is a good sign, if its verified.* She is also on record as admiring Ron Paul.*

I can't stand McCain---but I have a sneaking hope that *he will have a heart attack* soon after his inaugural address, and that Sarah Palin will take over, nominate Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan as VP. She will then withdraw America from the road of Empire, restore the constitution, secure the borders,...etc

It's kind of fundamental to the whole process of human beings living in society. Really, it is a pre-requisite to the political process.

If the political process does not weigh-in on the side of good and weigh against the non-good --- then what does it have left to do, other than act as bean counters?

The defenseless need to be defended.

Sometimes added to the killing is the dishonour shown by the ungrateful. I speak of those who hide away their ancestors in old homes and let them wither away there. It is my opinion that many of today's problems arise from not honoring those to whom honor in the strictest sense is owed.

Even a cannibal needs to be pro-life to a certain extent, or else his source of continuing sustenance will disappear.
 
Brilliant pick as well, mainly because the brain-dead women who wanted to vote for Hillary because she is a woman will now vote for McCain despite the fact that Palin is the anti-Hillary. Policies don't matter to most women, it's whether you have a vag that counts.

By the way, she isn't the first woman selected as vice presidential running mate, nor the first woman nominated for president either, for that matter. There are have been plenty of women nominated for both offices over the years, mostly by fringe parties to be sure. But the Dems had Geraldine Ferraro, and the Libertarians, Greens, and Reform parties have had plenty of women candidates among them. Even Pat Buchanan's running mate was a woman, Ezola B. Foster - a BLACK woman at that!

Its a great choice and has the Obama team and hordes of emasculated white followers/drunken white fans blinking. Hopefully she will help in preventing BO from becoming president.

As for Ezola, I was just pointing out that she was black to contrast that with Pat Buchanan's pro-white reputation.
 
If she were a dude, she'd have been a good pick. Getting the Hillary-ites is just a bonus.

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!! This was just the shot in the arm I needed after 4 days of the DNC, capped with BHO's speech in his temple to himself. Palin is a great role model to white women. We have to face reality, most women will be working, want to make a name for them self, etc. She shows that you can do that and still practice good values, have a family, and contribute to society.
 
McCain - Palin is a winning ticket. All McCain has to do is not say anything at all until election day, and put his VP in front of the camera at every opportunity.

In my grisly line of work, young "interns" line up to get "political" jobs to influence the system. Yesterday. all the little 20-something-year-old intern females were all a-twitter with excitement for the Palin selection. They know something that mainstream America doesn't. Ms. Palin is painted as a true "Republican Conservative" and pro-life and anti-government and a whole lot of similar things. It conceals another important trait. Palin is Feminist, insofar as it doesn't bother her at all that White American men are marginalized, and all the advantages the State can fling at the feet of females and "minorities" is OK with her. Trait two - Palin is all for the Zionist empire thing. Lots of footage of Palin sitting with troops, telling them how great it is that they fight against Israel's enemies.

Well, she isn't half-bad looking, and isn't directly indicted for anything. It's unmistakable that the American Feminist bunch, at least the blindly-led Fox-News and CNN-watching feminists are instantly energized. In one day, Johnny Mac has brought a huge portion of the Hillary Rod-damn Clinton constituency unto himself. It's a master stroke. How can he lose? Just like that, mainstream Feminism has been delivered to the GOP, while at the same time painting Barack Obama as a freak show of embittered pro-Africanist America haters.

I have had the same kind of thoughts Soloman Kane and just to add to those thoughts, If McCain only serves one term that would set up a very interesting matchup between Palin and Hillary in 2012. I didn't know about her voting for Buchannan and admiring Ron Paul. I hope that is true. That would make her a idealist and a thinking person who cares about the constitution. Yes because she is a devout christian, she will likely be a big supporter of Israel which I obviously have little problem with but I know much of you do have a problem with that. You got to take the good with the bad sometimes. Not trying to start anything or rile anybody up so give me a break on the flaming.

"John McCain's decision to select a vice presidential running mate that endorsed Pat Buchanan for President in 2000 is a direct affront to all Jewish Americans, "Wexler's announcement said. Earlier, Buchanan said that Palin indeed backed him in the past. However, the Alaska governor's support may have been related to Buchanan's domestic policy, rather than his foreign policy views.



Meanwhile, Jewish sources and Israel-friends in the United States told Ynet that the Alaska governor has maintained very warm relations with the small Jewish community in the state, which comprises roughly 4,000 people. I watched a live streaming of the convention from the Fox website tonight. Rudy Guliani was incisive and entertaining. Sarah Paulin was strong and yet still feminine. She sent the Democrats on the run with her gun blazing speech. McCain/Paulin ticket wins the election.
