Maksym Bursak (21-0-1) is another talented young middleweight from Eastern Europe. His promoter is K-2 (the Klitschkos' promotional company).
You've probably heard of a very good gatekeeper named Bryan Vera, who was in the group of super middleweights in The Contender TV series. He is small for that weight division, and so normally fights at either light middleweight or middleweight. He's defeated Andy Lee and more recently, Sebastian Demers. A fighter needs to be a legit contender, not a pretender, to get past Vera.

WBO Inter-Continental middleweight champion Max "Tiger"Â Bursak (21-0-1, 8 KOs) defeated American journeyman Bryan Vera (17-4, 11 KOs) by unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Sportpalace Meteor in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. Bursak was faster, showed a good work rate and won easily. Vera tried to impose his will on the Ukrainian to no avail. He took many hard blows to the head, but went the entire twelve rounds. Judges scored it 118-111 (twice) and 119-110. Fightnews.com scored it 119-108 for Bursak.
