This is just one more athlete to watch for in the upcoming NCAA championships.Matt Scherer won the 400 at one of these Last Chance Qualifier meets at Ames,Iowa in an outstanding time of 45.95,which not only smashed his own University of Oregon school record of 46.40,but it was also a track record.The old record was held by Mitch Potter.Scherer's time was the third fastest time run this year going into this weekend,Dominick Peterson had one of those times.Matt also anchored the 4x400 relay team to a school record in that same meet.
