Matt Jones

Here is a good comment about Matt Jones followed by a DWF's response.

Replying to Bigdaddybullwhip:
From what I've seen Matt Jones
is the type of receiver we need most for our offense now. ie. big, tall,
over the middle possession receiver, but can he catch?

ummm
NO LOL. First we have TO now for that spot. Second matt has been
average his whole career and now looks to be even worse. He is slow,
cannot cut, has no quickness, and has produced what 4 catches in 4 games
against 3rd string bums?? I think simpson has more catches than him
LOL. And even IF jones somehow made the team he would be the #5 or6
which means you would rarely if ever see him on the field. Dude is
garbo, and its beyond me how people think he is some kind of awesome
threat for palmer to have.

I notice that Matt didn't have any stats from the last preseason game against the Colts. Just from that I figure he's as good as gone....

He's gone for sure. We have seen white players put up incredible stats(Danny Woodhead) in preseason games and still get cut.

Bengals released WR Matt Jones.

Jones caught three balls for 42 yards in the preseason Hall of Fame, but was silent for the rest of the exhibition season. With rookie Dezmon Briscoe also gone, former second-round pick Jerome Simpson is expected to be the Bengals' sixth receiver for a third straight year. Jones won't get much interest in free agency with limited skills and major character concerns.

limited skills? oh, rotoworld...Edited by: backrow

They won't relent for even a second on the Matt Jones hate. Still calling him "troubled" in the headline (which has become mandatory, akin to David Duke always being called "former KKK grand wizard" by the media) and he still has "major character concerns"and "limited skills."From Weenieworld:

We all saw it coming. The only positive out of this is that Max Komar made the team and I'm pretty sure Blair White will.

Sadly, I believe his NFL career is over. He will forever be unfairly labeled a bust, an underachiever and a coke-head.

lets see, Matt Jones is 27 years old 6'6 with 4.3 speed is considered to have limited skills. If he were black they would say he had " unlimited upside"

Yet Mike Williams is going to be a starting WR in Seattle this year... Hopefully some team takes a chance on Jones, he more than deserves it!

So does this mean that Cinci kept Quan Cosby? How many slot prospects does Cinci need? Shipley is a good Flanker prospect and is amazing in the slot as well, Andre Caldwell is mostly a slot prospect and Jerome Simpson is another smaller framed guy who can play slot. Jones could have been a physical outside receiver with good long speed and a replacement to Owens next year.

What a farce it is that Matt Jones' NFL career might end this way. The only way Whites get to "star" in the caste era is if they have the opportunity to play a lot. The most effective way the system has of stifling White talent is to keep it off the field. If you stumble once as a person, you are all but doomed. That is the reason Matt Jones is where he is now, and its a crying shame!

Colonel, and even when a white gets to play and REALLY DOMINATES- a thing like a freak injury can put him back to the back of the bus (see Hillis). The DWFs quickly forget- or think his performance was simply an aberration.

The cultural Marxists on Rotoworld are still bashing Jones for his only true mistake. They don't have even a drop of forgiveness or dignity in their hearts for this talented player who will soon be out of the league for good and get even more unfair bashing as an "all time bust". They should look at their own hatefulness in the mirror before judging others.

DWFs are enemy Nbr 2 only superseded by white headcoaches and GMs as enemy Nbr 1!

What a complete & total sham. This is all the evidence in the world of a cultural marxist caste system.

The fact that Jones beingwaived went over the wire nationally as "Troubled Matt Jones Cut" is utterly and completely outrageous. To still single him out like that from one previous relatively minor screw-up two years ago in a league filled with black felons and accused black felons. . . simply disgusting. If the White man somehow survives his current slide toward oblivion and there are future White historians, they needto study the Caste System to better understand how a once-great race of people was indoctrinated into welcoming their dispossession and replacement by other races.

I can only hope that Matt has comptent representation that will be an effective advocate for his considerable skills and that on headcoach or GM will stop playing casteball!

Great post Don!

Apparently drinking a beer is now just as big a crime as killing someone or dealing drugs. That's what the media would have us believe.

I had to go back and check my facts on the "Troubled" Matt Jones. To think in the era of NFL strip club drive by shootings we have a talented #1 receiver drubbed out of the league for drinking a beer (not for being drunk) on a public golf course is ridiculous. Some may bring up his previous possesion of cocaine violation, but he was the leading receiver for the Jaquars after that charge. Essentially, he was kicked out of the league for drinking a beer in the middle of the day. With the Ben Rothlisberger and Matt Leinart situations, our white athletes are close to having to take a boy scout oath of never drinking adult beverages, or having sex with women, and learning how to tie an effective sailor's knot. How absurd!Edited by: Kaptain Poop

Actually he supposedly was snorting cocaine in a parking lot a couple years ago...still it's absurd Matt Jones is not getting a fair shake. We need to make some noise somehow on the issue...ifthe otherJones (as in Pac-man) had been cut; would they refer to him as "troubled"? White's are held to a different standardand it's beyond frustrating!

Was really looking forward to Matt Jones making a impact; possibly Comeback Player of the Year...can't believe the are writing him off like this! Especially with so many watered down WR's on so many rosters. I could name 10 teams he could easily be starting for now!Edited by: TwentyTwo
