It was announced today that Williams with fight Martinez, a current 154 lbs titlist. I have to say I give respect to Williams in taking on such a dangerous fighter in Martinez when he doesn't have to.

That being said, Sergio has a great chance to win, based on his speed, awkwardness, and atheletism. If Sergio can use angles and quick reflexes, he should be able to pull off a big upset against the current "black hope."

I think of the difficulties Williams had with a slow Margicheato. Sergio is immensily faster than him. This will be an interesting fight on Dec 5.

I cant figure out if Martinez is hispanic or white, but I know that Adidas is using him in boxing ads.

Sergio Martinez is a Spaniard, hence european, therefore white. Sergio brings an incredible skill set against the newest black hope in Williams. Sergio has great head movement and is super fast. He has good to great pop in both fists. I think William made a mistake and believed his hype. This fight will be good. I suspect Sergio's speed will shock the over hype, albeit good Williams.

Tmrw night should be a highly competive fight between two fighters in their prime. I think Martinez has the awkwardness, power and speed, if that makes sense to upset the "Newest great affelet". Williams is good but a bit slow as his loss to Carlos Quinta attests.

ESB writer V. Wallace a negro is hyping Williams as the next great fighter. His last victory was over spent Winky Wright. I can wait to read his column once Williams is beaten Saturday.

This fight should be explosive.

Several streams HERE.

The Veetle and Stream Torrent seem to be working, and the TVU worked well for the Huck fight. Sopcast sometime works, sometimes doesn't.

This fight has big implications. 1st the all hyped next great affeletic fighter should be exposed if Martinez fights like he should. Second, if Martinez wins he will in the PFP lists since Williams is already there should be a great fight.

HORRIBLE decision...

Paul won a majority decision but the scorecard of one of the judges was WAY off 119-110. Other judges had it even and 1 round ahead for Paul Williams...Sergio fought a great fight and is deserving of another shot at Paul.

Martinez landed the cleaner, more effective punches throughout the fight and deserved to win. I scored it about 116-112 or 115-113 for Sergio.

That 119-110 scorecard was from a senile old man who shouldn't have been working the fight. Edited by: Parody

I much prefer knockouts, but this was as good as a distance fight can get. I thought Sergio had the edge for sure, but when the announcers said all three judges were Americans I figured they would favor Williams.

Had it been Pavlik hitting Williams with all those clean shots......Edited by: The Hock

I had Sergio up 1 round but a draw would have been fair, but no way did Pual win that fight. Lampley and Kellerman saw it my way by the way.

I think that fight did irrepairable damage to William's psyche and physically. He will never be the same. I saw his body language after the fight and he knows he lost. That being said, if the Pavlik who beat Taylor almost two years ago shows up and fights Williams, Kelly will almost kill him. Kelly hits alot harder that Sergio and has more gas at the end if it goes that far. Right now Kelly is thinking "thanks Sergio for softening him up for me!"

I always said Williams is good and courageous fighter, but a world beater no way. I also think Sergio's idea weight is 154 lbs. 160 is bit heavy for him. I see Kelly KOing Williams in round 6 or 7. For Sergio I think he is the best at 154 lbs. If they fight again Sergio has to insist on 154 lbs. I see him KOing Williams at weight.

Even his fellow black brother keeps it real and admits that he things Sergio Williams won the fight. Props to him for speaking the truth. Also he brings up how Paulie Malignani was robbed against the Mexican Juan Diaz, at least he gets a rematch though

119-110 is a total joke and that fool should get his license permanently revoked. I had the fight about a draw or 7-5 6-5-1 for either guy. I do have a nagging doubt about the validity of all the scorecards as this was a Goosen Tudor promotion and they have Williams and Cristobal. Generally in close fights house fighters get the benefit of the doubt.

Martinez landed the vast majority of the clean, power shots. The decision was an incredible robbery. It was almost comical seeing Williams' face and hearing him in the interview. He sounded like he suffered a number of concussions and didn't seem to remember the fight. I'll bet Williams never fully recovers from this "win".
