So is Balotelli nearly finished at Man City? He wasn't even on the bench in a must-win match against Real Madrid. Our commentator said he "supposedly" has a back injury - IOW the commentator doesn't believe the official version. Last week Mancini made a critical remark about Balotelli's attitude so maybe he's on his way out. I just hope Brendan Rodgers doesn't have his eye on him.

Regarding Balotelli's possible exit from Manchester City, my last post was pure speculation. But despite Manchester City currently lying in second place in the Premier League (only a single point behind Manchester United and yet to lose a game) Roberto Mancini's problems are rapidly multiplying and this translates to bad news for Balotelli.
City were eliminated from the League Cup at the first hurdle (Third Round) at home by Aston Villa, a game in which Balotelli scored. That result wasn't the greatest disaster in the world, but wasn't exactly desirable either. Infinitely more importantly, City are also out of the Champions League, with the added embarrassment of failing to record a single win. Notwithstanding these pitiful showings, Mancini's side are still amazingly in with a chance of being parachuted into the ridiculously bloated Europa League - provided they can finish above Ajax. Yet even if this was to transpire, it would be scant consolation - both in terms of prestige and money - for the Gulf Arabs who have sunk a fortune into the club with the expectation that the team would seriously challenge for the Champions League trophy (or at the very, very least reach the knockout stages of the competition...).
With his job potentially on the line (just ask Roberto Di Matteo...) Mancini is even less likely to use an unreliable idiot like Balotelli, whose track record of rash, unnecessary bookings and disruptive tantrums combined with poxy play makes him an increasingly unaffordable risk in a scenario with minimal margin for error. For instance, he came on in the 86th minute of last night's scoreless draw against Chelsea - yet still managed to receive a yellow card in injury time.
If Balotelli doesn't receive much match time, he'll be even more of a whinging problem in the dressing room. This shall also limit his chances of being selected for Italy - which, of course, is a good thing.
As he is only just over two years into the five year contract he signed with City in 2010, both the club (waste of money with progressively less chance of recouping his huge transfer fee) and the player (waste of "career") wouldn't be keen on Balotelli making bit part appearances for the next season or two.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if Mancini did get the sack...

so the only reason to not start both argentines would have been to give a start to dzeko, who has the best stats of the team, and scored many game winning goals out of the bench
but no, mancini starts balotelli, who only has 1 goal in premiere league

Balotelli said he didn't like the food in England (in my view British food is better than bland Italian stuff like pasta) and he also criticised the way they drive. Huh? I've been to Italy. I've seen how they drive there. He must be upset that the English actually obey the rules and don't play chicken with pedestrians. For some reason it wouldn't surprise me if Balotelli were a reckless driver. Anyway, I'm glad he's out of England. Milan is now the team I most despise in Italy.

Most players that spend some time in a foreign country tend to say mostly positive things about their time and their host country, how nice everything was etc.pp. But you can’t simply expect that from Balotelli.

i remember last year, at one point it looked like manchester city had no chance to win the title, after disapointing results against stoke (not sure) and arsenal,matches played with balotelli
then balotelli got suspended for his red card against arsenal, and arsenal won every single game without balotelli
they ended up winning the title

No wonder he had a heart problem at a young age. Today the sport is much more athletic with all the players on rigorous fitness regimes so competition is tougher. Besides, Balotelli ain't no Cruyff
He's been suspended for three matches, including with the two teams just above Milan in the standings, at the most important part of the season. After a good start with Milan I was wondering when the bubble would burst and surprise, surprise, it was discipline that let him down...again.
