Today, I salute all who served in this elite military force, as well as any here on CF who served in other branches of the military.

Today the United States Marine Corps is 245 years old. Happy Birthday to my fellow Marines. Tomorrow is Veterans Day. Thank you to all at CF who have served in the armed forces.
BTW, the movie Full Metal Jacket was listed on the thread about good movies. If you want to get some idea about what Marine Corps boot camp is like, watch this movie.
Sorry, was like. I understand that boot camp has been massively watered down, so to speak. Where the drill instructors can't cause any undo stress on any recruit to the point that if they do, the recruit can hold up a stress card and DI's have to back off of any type of pressure. How times have changed?
