Marek Zakrzewski 2022 Euro Under 18 Champ & 2023 Euro Under 20 Champ/10.25 & 20.50

For those of you that think a 6.61 when you are barely 18 isn't special, your wrong. Marek Z. is already the 19th fastest 60 meter
time ever run by any Under 20 Sprinter around the world. He is tied with Justin Gatlin at the same age. Faster than Trindon Holiday,
Cameron Burrell, Noah Lyles, Christophe Lemaitre, Ramil Guliyev and countless others. Mark Lewis Francis holds the world record
for the Under 20 60 Meters with a time of 6.51! So Marek Zakrzewski is only a tenth away with the rest of this indoors and all next
year in 2025 indoors to break the record. He just very well may do it! No one should doubt this kids ability!

Here is the All Time World Under 20 60 Meters LIst.

The Polish Athletics Association has appointed the strongest squad for the world relay championships, which will be held in Nassau (May 4-5). Among those who will fly to the Bahamas are: Ewa Swoboda, Natalia Kaczmarek and Justyna Święta-Ersetic. At stake is advancement to the Olympic Games in Paris. Among those called up is AML Słupsk player Marek Zakrzewski.

The Polish team was missing two specialists in the 400 m run - Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik, who is getting back into shape after a maternity break, and Anna Kiełbasińska, who is struggling with health problems.

- We treat the competition in the Bahamas as our priority. First, we fly to a two-week acclimatization training camp organized in Miami to properly prepare for the start in a different time zone and climatic conditions. The center we are going to looks impressive. I hope that good training and logistic conditions will contribute to success in Nassau and that all relay teams will be in the top "14", which will give them a pass to Paris," said the coach of the women's 4x400 m relay team, Aleksander Matusiński.

The trainer emphasized that for the first time in history the competition during the World Athletics Relays has such high stakes.

-In previous years, the competition in Nassau, and the World Athletics Relays in general, did not have as much importance for the relay teams as Olympic qualification. Then we started in them two days after the trip. Now the situation is completely different, he admitted.

In Nassau, the fourteen best teams in each event will qualify for the Olympics - 4x100 m for women and men, 4x400 m for women and men and the 4x400 m mixed relay, and the remaining two teams will be selected based on the World Athletics results list. Individually, from the white and red squad at the World Athletics Relays, only Kaczmarek in the 400 m and Swoboda in the 100 m have so far met the Olympic minimum.
The composition of the Polish national team for the World Relay Championships in Nassau

that's an equal under20 world lead.
I noticed a Chinese lad, Keli Ceng, is only 1/100th behind him and a full 9 months younger. There's talent breaking through everywhere.

On a side note, the Polish under 20 4x100m record set August 2021 is the 4th fastest junior run All-Time. They could well take that time down further with Marek in the team.
Shaping up to be a great world juniors from 27th to 31st August in Lima, Peru

Tommorow is the first big track meet in Poland. We will see both Marek Zakrzewski and Dominik Kopec in the 100 meters along with
many other polish sprinters. This is Marek Zakrzewski's first year competing as at the senior level yet he is still only 18 years of age.
My preditions for THE POLISH BULLET this summer are 10.15 to 10.19 over 100 meters and around the high 20.40's over the 200 meters.
He finally won't always be the best sprinter on the track which can either help or hurt him. This kid is built different and has the attitude,
confidence and swagger of a far older sprinter. He hates to lose so he will continue to rise his level and speed up in the coming years. I will go on record right now.

Marek Zakrzewski will go sub 10 wind legal within 3 to 4 years!

Here is the 100 meters for tommorow in Poland.

Three Polish records* were set during the second day of the jubilee national championships, which are held at the Zawisza Stadium in Bydgoszcz. The best results in the history of Polish athletics were achieved by junior Marek Zakrzewski in the 200 meters, junior Maksymilian Szwed in the 400 meters and senior Jakub Szymański in the 110 meters hurdles.

The Polish U20 record was the decoration of the final men's 200 meters race. The favorites were reconciled by Marek Zakrzewski, who had a great performance in Bydgoszcz. The leading European junior sprinter showed off an excellent run and finished with a time of 20.50 - 0.04 better than the previous Polish junior record. This is the best result achieved by a European sprinter from the U20 category this season.

I've talked about how highly Marek Zakzrewski is ranked for the All Time Under 18 Mens 60 Meters List.

I didn't discuss that he is also in the top 6 All Time European Mens Under 18 100 Meters List.

Marek Zakrzewski opens up his 2024 season with a new personal best in the 60 meters of 6.61! I never posted this last year.
Sports. Marek Zakrzewski is the fastest junior in the history of Polish athletics! Faster than Woronin! Equally with Gatlin. Faster from the GDR

65c7c540db71d_o_large.jpg

During the Polish Junior Indoor Athletics Championships, Marek Zakrzewski set a great national record in the 60-meter run - 6.61 (starting reaction: 0.163 seconds)! In Wrocław, coach Tomasz Czubak's charge - still the Polish record holder in 400 meters (44.62 in 1999) and world champion in the 4x400 meters relay (Seville, 1999), improved the previous best indoor achievement of the 19-year-old by as much as 0.07 seconds. This is also equal to this year's best result in the world for a junior (yesterday, February 9, in Clemson, the American Nyckoles Harbor was also measured at 6.61)! The junior world record for the "sixty" is 6.51 and since March 11, 2001, it has been held by the famous Briton, Mark Lewis-Francis (6.51 is also the Polish senior record of Marian Woronin from February 21, 1987 with Liévin). In the history of the U20 indoor sprint, only four Europeans have run faster than a Pole, including three from… East Germany!

Time 6.61 Marek Zakrzewski in Wrocław is 19. The result in the history of junior running over a distance of 60 meters. They only ran faster - mentioned British, Mark Lewis -Francis, 11 Americans, 3 "Enerdowists", Issamade Asinga from Surinka, Ibrahim Meité from the ivory coast and Japanese Yoshihide Kiryu.

Marek Zakrzewski's piquancy is added by the fact that 6.61 is also the "life" of the phenomenal American Justin Gatlin (Clemson, 08.12.2000)!

A few days ago, on the meeting "Folksam GP Stockholm Indoor" ("World Athletics Indoor Tour - Bronze"), Marek Zakrzewski was third in the 60 -meter race, leveling - sometimes 6.68 - indoor record of Polish juniors, which from 24 years belonged to Łukasz Chyły.

Marek Zakrzewski (born on December 18, 2005) is a European junior champion in 100 meters (2022) and the European Junior Champion at 100 and 200 meters (2023). Last year, during the "Orlen Golden Spikes" gala, he was elected discovery of 2023 in Polish athletics.
Sprinter life records from Słupsk - stadium: 100 m: 10.25 (2023 - Polish junior record); 200 m: 20.63 (2023); Hall: 60 meters: 6.61 (2024 - Polish junior record); 200 m: 20.80 (2024 - Polish record
