HAHAHAHAHA! Mikie's little bro just got thrown off the VA Tech
football team..PFFFFFT. Man, I wonder what he said in that
meeting that made them so mad as to kick him off the team? Now
let's all watch as ESPN and the other caste worshippers rush to his aid
and demand he be reinstated. Wonder where he'll end up?
Certainly he will transfer. I'm betting on, where
else......Miami U. He'd be a perfect fit down there.
Moreover he'd get in so much off the field trouble that no NFL team
would touch him come draft day. With any luck this little thug
just ruined his career and spared us years of media Vick worship
in the process.

He actually got KICKED OFF the team?? All I heard was they were planning on suspending him (again) for a few games next year.

Good news, if so.

Maybe him and his brother will be playing in the Arena leagues together before too long.

Well its nice to hear that they canned Mucous. Unfortunately, the
NFL is like a woman in waiting for the draft so that they can worship
at the feet of SUPER VICK 2 starring Vince Young!

I have to believe there is 0% percent chance of a transfer. He has no choice but to enter the draft. Somebody will be stupid enough to take him in the 2nd or 3rd round. What would you do under those cirumstances? Sit out one year and join another college team or be at least an NFL 3rd round pick.

I hope he is gone and that he ends up splintering his rear end with bench pine.

I took one of those opinion polls on ESPN. I was very surprised by the results, as you may be as well. I feel more and more every day that fans are not the idiots in sports, its the GMs, owners, and coaches.

Vote: Did Marcus Vick deserve to be dismissed?

1) Do you agree with Virginia Tech's decision to permanently dismiss Marcus Vick from the football team?

88.4%Yes
11.6%No

2) Do you think the school would still have dismissed Vick if he had not been charged with speeding and driving on a suspended license on Dec. 17?

64.5%No
35.5%Yes

3) Looking back, do you fault Virginia Tech for allowing Vick to return after his last suspension?

68.8%No, there's nothing wrong with giving someone a second chance.
31.2%Yes, they just wanted him back on the football field.

4) What did you think of the play in the Gator Bowl when Vick appeared to stomp on the leg of Louisville DE Elvis Dumervil after the whistle?

57.2%About as bad an act as I've seen on the field of play.
37.0%There's no excuse for it, but the media made it out to be worse than it was.
5.7%It's football; these things happen in the heat of battle.

5) Dumervil called Vick a ''no-character individual'' after the Gator Bowl. Do you agree?

68.3%Yes, Vick has demonstrated he's a bad person.
31.7%No, he's just young and needs to grow up.

6) If you were running an NFL team, what would your take be on Vick?

40.6%He doesn't even have the talent to be a starting NFL QB.
35.2%He has the talent but not the character to be a starting NFL QB.
24.2%He has the talent and is worth the risk in hopes he matures.

7) Where will Vick be selected in the NFL Draft?

60.2%Second Day (Rounds 4-7)
23.5%Third round
13.0%Second round
3.4%First round

8) What is your overall impression of Frank Beamer's program at Virginia Tech?

40.8%Somewhat favorable
33.3%Very favorable
16.2%Not very favorable
9.6%Negative impression

9) If Virginia Tech knew of the charges against Vick following his traffic stop, should they have allowed him to play in the Gator Bowl?

68.4%No
31.6%Yes

10) Should Beamer keep his job?

87.5%Yes
12.5%No

Total Votes: 23,067

And the fact that most think he'll drafted in the second round is not a testament to the stupidity of the fans; it is their RECOGNITION of the stupidity of NFL management. I myself gave them more credit; I predicted 3rd round.

Man, that was some opinion poll. Call me crazy WS but
doesn't the sheer length of this poll (in addition to the
question about Beamer's job) strike you as insulting? I mean
really, when something bad happens to a white player do
they run these kinds of in-depth opinion polls? It's almost as if
they are trying to look for an excuse to make for him. I am very
suspicious of the motives of ESPN for including so many questions in
this poll.

The polls in general are you usually idiotic, and yes they probably have an agenda. I answer them because you can't see the answers unless you do so. And I'm often surprised by the answers, as I was in this one. So, whether ESPN has an agenda or not, it appears that, as least as far as the fans are concerned, it is falling upon deaf ears.

Wow! What punk! The Vick boys are losing some of their lustre.I had to laugh when I heard a talk show host blast Marcus Vick's escapades. He called him Marcus Mexico. In honor of his brother I suppose.

I was almost awestruck when I read the next quote:

The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk reported on its Web site on Friday night that Vick would turn pro.

"It's not a big deal," Vick was quoted as telling the newspaper. "I'll just move on to the next level, baby."

LOL, we have found the next Maurice Clarett!

i doubt he will even make it to the NFL after getting arrested for pulling his gun out on people...

here's a link

what a clown... he is even worse than Clarett, and all that probably because he thinks he's untouchable since he's brother is a ehmm... "star"

plus he's football stats weren't all that:

In 24 career games, the 6-foot, 212-pound Vick threw for 2,868 yards, 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also ran 184 times for 492 yards and six TDs.

low ypc, lots of interceptions etc... what was a big deal about this guy? his last name?Edited by: backrow

If he weren't Mike Vick's younger brother, he wouldn't garner attention at all, other than as another criminal loser college football player.

In truth, its remarkable he was dismissed from the team in the first place. He must truly be a horrible person even for the players to associate with, for them to cut the fabulous younger brother of Super Mike Vick.

The name looked familiar, but I couldn't quite remember who it was:

Lawrence Phillips

Lawrence Phillips, born on May 12, 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a former American football and Canadian football player who has had numerous conflicts with law enforcement.

Phillips played college football at Nebraska and was drafted sixth overall in the 1996 NFL draft by the St. Louis Rams. Phillips played the 1996 and part of the 1997 seasons with the Rams before refusing to show for a team meeting and practice in a dispute with coach Dick Vermeil over playing time and being cut; Phillips moved on to the Miami Dolphins for two games before being cut again after pleading no contest to assaulting a woman in a nightclub. Phillips missed the 1998 season before attempting a comeback in 1999; he set NFL Europe offensive records with the Barcelona Dragons before returning stateside with the San Francisco 49ers, but was unable to last the whole season.

Phillips then moved on to Canada, winning the Grey Cup in 2002 with the Montreal Alouettes; cut in training camp for insubordination by Montreal in 2003, he signed with the Calgary Stampeders but was again released for arguing with his coach.

On August 21, 2005, he was arrested for driving a stolen car into three teenagers, while a fugitive for domestic abuse, after getting involved in a dispute with the teens during a pick-up football game in Los Angeles.

This boy is the new slick Willie ain't he? He gets off with everything. I hope the NFL ignores him completely, as it will be a much better league without him in it. Edited by: Colonel_Reb

Somehow I get the feeling that under no circumstances will Marcus Vick ever consent to flipping burgers. A big factor in the continuing pathology of black "culture" is young blacks seeing athletes and gangstas with their nice clothes, big cars and bling bling and deciding that they're gonna live the same way. That's all they want andfew have any interest in other pathways to material success.
